So glad we decided to choose Rafiki Backpackers for our first place to stay when we flew into Tanzania. They were the most helpful and welcoming staff from the beginning, and once meeting the owner Alfred, I can't say enough good things about him, his staff and the hostel itself. My boyfriend's bags didn't arrive with us on our flight,...

Had a fantastic stay over the weekend. Florence the manager is great. The place is clean, amazing bathroom facilities and very friendly. It was a busy weekend with all the runners for the Mt. Kilimanjaro 1/2 marathon but the place ran smoothly. Pasta dinner was great...thank you! Also drivers God Love and Barracka were safe and reliable, used them for...

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Rafiki Backpackers! The staff members were gracious, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, and comfortable, the breakfast filling and the views of Mount Kilimanjaro were magnificent. We will definitely be back and miss it already. Very new and clean backpackers a little bit outside of moshi town, that's why you don't have any street noise around during night time and really can have a rest! Transfer to or from town just 5 USD by taxi. Best price value ever: double room with high qualitiy hot water shower for 30 USD incl. breakfast! Friendly and helpful...

The guesthouse is super clean with comfortable beds and a decent breakfast. However, we opted to camp and when we showed up we found that "camping" was actually just a tiny grassy patch next to the street. It was loud and bright at night. The first staff we met was super nice, but he was about the only one. The...

We were welcomed by Florence and showed around the full property and told we were welcome to our home in Moshi. All the staff were fantastic, wonderfully friendly. They are still working on the rooftop terrace which has a stunning view of Kilimanjaro when the clouds are not blocking it. There were no chairs up there to watch the view...

The house and infrastructure is great and when doing the place they thought about all the little things to make a backpacker happy. I stayed in two different single rooms both with a nice shower, comfortable bed and lovely furniture. In the house there are nice areas to hang out and breakfast is good and served with a smile. But...
