The Tembo Tamu (sweet elephant) enjoys a certain reputation of being the "go-to" place in Moshi and our seven-night stay there only cements it. Sandra and Franck are very warm and generous hosts and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible (tours, guides, taxis, reservations, checking flight schedules, information about Moshi and many more)....

I stayed in tembotamu for two nights and felt like home. The breakfast was excellent, the dinner was delicoius and the price for the food was fair aswell. Sandra and Frank have organized a wonderful tour for me and also helped me with my lost luggage - They did everything to make my stay the most enjoyable! Also the room...

Tempo Tamu is a classic B&B--family-based, casual, friendly, good location on quiet street in a residential neighborhood a walk from the center city, There are only a few rooms for guests, so reserve well in advance. Sandra and Frank are the perfect hosts - friendly, attentive and present. Their place is beautiful, comfortable and well kept, and breakfast is a real treat. Plus the WIFI is very fast (African standards....).

This place is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The staff, Sandra and Frank are very welcoming. The food is delicious and their advices are always on point. It really is a peace heaven for anybody looking for a place not that for from the city centre.

Clean, comfortable, relaxed accommodation and incredibly welcoming and attentive hosts that will help you make the most of all that Tanzania offers. Sandra and Frank made everything easy - we felt safe and well cared for from the moment we arrived. It was a very nice place. Warm and cozy. Sandra and Franck were very welcoming and helpful. As a solo traveler Sandra did a lot to make me feel comfortable and went out of her way to help me. I will not forget Thank you so much Sandra! I did cooking class lesson, painting and many tours thanks to them....

Stayed here for one night but excellent hosts and really made to feel at home. Sad we couldn't have stayed longer! Quiet with good clean rooms. Helpful recommendations for what to explore in Moshi. Thank you

Tembotamu is a family run B&B. We are located on the rural fringe of Moshi town: a 25min walk to the bustling centre of Moshi.Our separate guesthouse, with private bathroom, can sleep 5 persons, and the main house has one double and one twin room, each with private bathroom. In our relaxed atmosphere you can relax inside around the family table or outside in our garden, taking in a view of Mt Kilimanjaro.For breakfast we provide an alternative to the common omelette breakfast: cereal and yoghurt, toast with homemade preserves, fresh fruit, pancakes, French toast and wonderful Kilimanjaro coffee! Light evening meals are available: for example burgers, omelettes, toasted sandwiches.A full dinner can be provided with half a day notice.Children are most welcome.There is ample room for car storage. ... more   less
