my usual guesthouse was fully booked and they recommended Mossel Bay guesthouse. (I travel there on a monthly basis for business). When I arrived I dragged in my luggage with no assistance. The place was a bit dark and dingy and my room was badly decorated, bedding looked old and tacky. No aircon and very humid, loads of Mosquitos so...

Very friendly staff and owner. A good breakfast. The guesthouse is very well located, it is walking distance both to The Waterfront and in to the city/Longstreet. It takes just about 20 minutes to walk. A little oasis in the middle of intensive Green Point. I can warmly recommend Brenton Guesthouse.

This hotel has an old charm. Our room (and several other rooms) have a great view of the Mossel Bay. The manager, Kay-Lynn, was very helpful and friendly. It has a shuttle service to several restaurants in the city.

The guest house is situated high above Mossel Bay harbour with great views of the entire bay. The house is brick built and quirky with lots of exposed brick and hard wood. There is even a fish pond on the ground floor but it all blends in very well giving the place a homely feel. The balcony and pool area...

For an unplanned stay, last minute booking between the holidays and for the price (I suspect I got very lucky with the booking agency used) I was very pleased with what I got. The proprietors were very accomodating with the late check in and the morning staff were curteous and professional. Reading other reviews of the place I tend to...

To each his taste, but this building looks somewhat like a fake castle with lots of exposed brick. Inside it's dark and depressing and decorated with ugly plastic flowers. The double bed in our room was very small, and there is no (!) door to the bathroom. So forget about privacy. And no, there are no toilets at the reception....

We found this place by incident. Booked by phone, found it without problem. It's an old house with very good atmosphere. Owners are very helpful about tips abut South Africa. Tasty breakfast. Definitely I would come back to this place.

Couldn't recommend this guest house. Although check is in is from 2 pm there was nobody at the property until nearly 4pm, with not even a sign on the window to say when they would return. The bedding on the beds felt like we were sleeping in camping conditions. Fitments in the bathroom were rusty and broken. And the breakfast...

The only thing that spoiled this stay was the smell of dogs in the bedroom. Beautiful views from the bedrooms and balcony. The breakfast was very nice and the staff helpful. A good location in easy reach of the restaurants .
