Two friends and I stopped over at Cypress Cottages for the weekend whilst making our way up the coast from Cape Town to Durban. It was an absolutely delightful weekend. Hillary's hospitality was top class and the rooms were neat and comfortable. Wonderful farm-style breakfasts and great walks and/or runs in and around the town. They have quite a large...

Words can not describe Cypress Cottage. The tranquil atmosphere is overwhelming, you just want to sit in the garden all day long, to enjoy the sound of the birds in the trees. Thank you very much Hillary, for the most relaxing stay we had!

Charming and comfortable home with well-considered amenities and a delicious breakfast prepared by Virgina. Cypress Cottages are in a pleasant and walkable part of town and have a lovely garden to sit in.

Our Canadian family of four spent two nights here and had a fantastic time. Host Hillary is very welcoming. There are a range of accommodation options available. The rooms are lovely. The breakfast is delicious. Lots to see in the area, including fossils at Wellwood, game at Camdeboo National Park, and 360 degree views overlooking the Valley of Desolation

Wish we had been able to stay longer. I love the Karoo. We found the rooms very comfortable, the garden beautiful and serene, the welcome warm and the breakfast delicious and sumptuous. The bedding is perfect and all facilities and furnishings are both practical and attractive - inviting one to stay longer and cook a meal in the well equipped kitchen! Hillary and her staff are delightful people, making you feel...

We loved our stay at Cypress Cottages. Hilary was a wonderful hostess. The cottage was quiet, clean, neat and perfect for our overnight stay. The kids had a wonderful time and fell in love with the resident boxer, Ammo. A highly recommended venue - thank you!

Situated amongst beautiful gardens and next to the main house, this Cottage was 4 star luxury and offered two en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge & dining room. We stayed in a 2 ensuite bedroomed cottage which is vastly underrated as a 4 star property. The cottage can only be described as quite magnificent offering quality period furnishings and very spacious with a dining room, full kitchen and lounge. Adjacent to the main house with beautiful gardens, resident ducks and a backdrop of the mountains. A pool supplied...
