We stayed here for our trek to see the gorillas the hotel is nicely located in the town, and clean and simple. The staff are very nice and helpful especially Olivier, and it was a pleasant surprise to see our vehicle being nicely washed after our drive to the park to see the gorillas. I would highly recommend this place... More

Clean. But really really noisy. Didn't give our request for quiet room. So crowded with locals staring at you. Not tourist friendly. But functional place to sleep in. Staying in a non-central area is better for a tourist. So glad we only stayed 2 nights.

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel - excellent customer service, several people went out of their way to help when I had to find some suitable shoes for gorilla trekking after my bag got lost en route! In the centre of town and plenty of places to eat nearby. Easy to find, rooms were basic but clean and comfortable.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip to Africa. We spent two nights whilst doing the gorilla trekking in VNP and were very impressed. The pictures on this website do not do the hotel justice, it is very modern and clean and a great location in musanze, very close to a local bakery, shops and banks. The staff... More

This is a basic hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are modest but comfortable and clean. The service offered by the staff is truly wonderful. I was in touch with Olivier Rutarindwa prior to my arrival to organise airport transport and gorilla permits for 3 days and everything had perfectly been organised upon my arrival, including transport from the... The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and can arrange everything you need to visit the Gorillas. It is very close to the bus station (5mins walk) and they even came and picked me up from the station on arrival! On the downside it is very noisy at night (loud music and partying). It... More

We travelled with our teenage kids to visit Rwanda. We stayed over at Virunga Hotel 20-23 December as we were visiting the gorillas in the national park on 21 and 22. Olivier, the manager assisted us with transportation to the park. The driver on both days helped with communication to get the gorilla families we were looking to see. When... More

An excellent hotel in many ways... Top service in all aspects, good restaurant. Attention, however, if you're quoted a price for transport from the hotel to the gorilla event. Normally, the hotel should be expected to negotiate on behalf of it's clients. In this case a price was quoted before arrival at 200USD, after arriving and upon request this was... More

Four of us (all Brits) stayed here for two nights when we were in town for a self organised gorilla trek. Booking over the Internet was straightforward and efficient. We had two double rooms, both a decent size and very clean. Mosquito nets were provided but I don't think there is much problem around there. The bathrooms were clean and... More
