I always stop here when I pass through Town. And I always order meat samosa - simply the best I have found anywhere in Rwanda. Served freshly made, piping hot at any time of the day, very tasty, not greasy, with a lemon wedge and...More
The Hotel Muhabura is historic and as such has a special place in the town. Service at the hotel is good, the restaurant is a little slower. Breakfast is included but is very basic - boiled eggs, toast, fruits, juice, coffee. It's sufficient and for...More
The Hotel and restaurant Muhabura in Musanze can almost make you feel like being back in a town a few decades ago. The restaurat has a great atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend it for a drink. Coming here for lunch or dinner can turn...More
As so many times before in the past years we stopped at Hotel Muhabura for lunch. The friendly atmosphere and the history of the hotel & restaurant had made us to become the “usual happy returning customers”. At the moment we stepped out of the...More
Hotel Muhabura has a broad menu but the food is average. The best bet is to stick to the brochettes (fish, beef and goat) and the samosas are surprisingly good. The waiters are friendly and courteous but the kitchen is quite slow - expect to...More

While I know you're asking for yourself, it's always a good idea to talk to some knowledgeable people. For the sake of reseach, and because you might end up using some very good folks (which ain't such a bad idea) you might want to contact a small, boutique firm called E-Trip Africa. American born Ben Jennings and his wife Aurelie live in Arusha, and they do a superb job of creating custom- and I mean custom- tours to budget and desires in these areas. Just used them for the second time for five weeks in the Rwanda and Uganga gorilla and chimp tours. including this place. Big outfit they are not. That's what I love about them. We all have our faves. MIght be worth contacting. I"m on a budget and I will only use these folks. They work hard to make you happy and their guides are superb. For what it's worth.
