What a gem of a place this is. Off the beaten track but still easy to get to from Nairobi. We came in April/May when the weather was cool and it rained the whole time. It didn't matter at all. The rooms were cozy, there was a log fire, and when the rains let up we were able to wander...

We booked this place at the beginning of October for December. What is not mentioned on the website anywhere is that this place is a 10km drive on rough potholed dirt track and is not suitable for cars - but would need a 4x4 to safely navigate the terrain. When we finally made it to the Lodge at 4.30pm to...

One of the best week end I spent in years in Africa. Astonishing view, great welcome, horse riding among zebras, thomson gazelle, antilipe, girafes etc .... Really unbelievable. A MUST. Only two hours from Nairobi.

2nd time in a year and again found this place simply beautiful. I love taking the long drive towards the 'canyons' and then backwards through the plains at sundowner; it is simply magical. The lodge itself smells of antique country charm. The cottages have beautiful views though the additional ones will break the privacy of the accommodation area. Staff always...

I wish we had had longer, but it was only a day. The food was excellent. The lodge was older, but generally well maintained with the exception of the plugs. In the entire room, including the en suite bathroom, there were only 2 outlets that worked. The outlet that the bedside lamp was plugged into didn't even work. Go figure!...

I found the Mt. Longonot Lodge on the trip advisor and looking at all the positive feedback, I decided to spend 3 days with my mother who is visiting Africa for the first time in her life. Let me start by saying that we were extremely satisfied with our entire stay and my mother has already grown a huge affection...

My wife and I spent three days herein early March. Wonderful experience. First of all extremely laid back. Gorgeous setting; right in shadow of Mount Longonot. You feel like you are right in among the animals, as Klaus the owner - who is a real gentleman - has put in a drinking spot in view of the main lodge. Zebras...

If you want all the luxiouries of a 5star hotel, don't come here! This place is in the bush and if you enjoy that rustic kind of life over a weekend, this is a place you will enjoy. There's some senic views of Lake Niavasha and Mount Longonot as well as a lot of game in the early morning. If...

Great place for honeymooners. Quiet, beautiful views of Lake Naivasha and the close proximity to wildlife makes it a wonderful place to stay. A minimum of two nights would do you good here. Yu will leave refreshed and ready to conquer the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.

First, the good: Incredible view of Mt. Longonot; nice landscaping; attentive, pleasant staff. Zebras in the backyard. Then, the bad: With a few drinks, the cost of a weekend at this place was not significantly lower than much nicer places like Kiangazi House. We stayed in the two-bed hut/manyatta. There were two double beds shoved together with a big gap...
