This is a place i visited in august 2014 and decided that one night was not enough on going back this time, i found that even 2 nights is not adequate to soak in the peace and tranquillity. The staff are fantastic and ready to help with any eventuality,The food is fantastic and plentiful.I especially recommend the high tea.The rooms are...

Having been captivated as a boy by the movie, "Born Free," I wanted to connect with the story of the couple that inspired it all: Joy and George Adamson. I also wanted a get-away place for me and a few friends that wouldn't be too expensive but would be comfortable, attractive, and near a few natural attractions when we cared...

Less than two hour drive from Nairobi is this gem of a place overlooking Lake Naivasha. As you enter you may be lucky to encounter the giraffes and the zebras. The cottages feel like home. The food is still mole but delicious. In the evening, the sunset is amazing. Beware of the hippos...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two days during our safari. Lovely place with a good history right by the lake. The one night we saw a rhino and a giraffe right on the lawn, and the other night some zebras. The room was clean and spacious. Would absolutely recommend this place.

If you are inclined to superluxurios, pampered places with the air of Ritz Carlton look elsewhere. But if you want to support education of sustainable environmental awareness in a place full of history go Elsamere. The story of the lioness Elsa...

Beautiful setting by Lake Naivasha where you will be visited by plenty of wildlife (zebras, hippos, colobus monkeys etc etc). Very friendly and helpful staff, great food, beautiful gardens and decent quality rooms. Overall an amazing place to spend a couple of days.

This is a quiet lodge built on reserve property to protect the wildlife of the area. Awesome work they do there, and great education centre. Its really beautiful and peaceful. If you are looking for adventure and lots of wildlife this is NOT the place, i suggest you go to Mara. But if you are looking for a save haven...

A weekend retreat, with good food and wonderful view. Friendly staff and interesting history of the adamsons. Very quiet and peaceful. Opt for the new rooms at the back, as those are bigger and better. The old rooms can be claustrophobic for a couple !

We did not stay here, we visited to see the work of Joy and George Adamson. The entrance fee was very reasonable. We watched a fascinating film of the life and work of Joy and George, it had terrific footage of the lions too. The museum was very interesting, and I didn`t realise that Joy was also a very talented...
