Only about 100 Kilometers away from Nairobi, Naivasha Sopa lodge is strategically situated near the shores of the Fresh Water Lake Naivasha, one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes found in Kenya. Though large in size, a rest in your room or at the lodge's well manicured lawns offers that serene environment as you bask in the sun enjoying the...

Gorgeous rooms and lodges overlooking the grounds but bathrooms need some TLC and there are mosquitoes due to ponds and lake. City location means staff are a little less friendly/personal, but we received some lovely touches due to our Silver Wedding and great service from Stephen at the bar. Lake trip is definitely worth it for hippos and birdlife, and...

Arrived at about 11:00 from Nairobi on a hot day. Nice greeting with hot towel and a refreshing glass of mango juice. Checked in efficiently with no wait, explanation of what was available,to make sure that you ring for an guard after dark to go to main building with restaurant, bar, etc. (Hippos come out from the lake to graze,...

Sopa Lodge Lake Naivasha was a real delight. We enjoyed delicious meals, coffee on our balcony while watching wild animals of several species wandering around, and a boat ride on the lake to see the hippos. We spent 2 nights here as part of a 10 day safari. Each unit is part f a 4 unit building. Very pretty architecture...

Really special location, seeing a giraffe cross your path on the way to the bar is just so very special. I only dropped one star because the room we were in the basin had come away from the wall and the shower was dirty behind the door. The pool had tiles missing and If you look closely this place needs...

I travelled to Sopa Resort with my family for my husband's birthday and it was great. I had previously been there with friends but I must admit it was better with the children because of all the natural wildlife in the area. You dine with a view of wild animals roaming around outside . The best thing is you can...

We stopped here for a night as part of a 5 night safari and loved it. The rooms were lovely, great choice of food and reasonably priced drinks. Would recommend a boat trip on the lake as there is a lot to see. Greeted in the morning by a giraffe enjoying his breakfast. Incredible.

Rooms are beautiful. Lots of animals close by. Lake tours on boats. Friendly staff and security. Restaurant was good with a buffet and menu options. Glad they had wifi available! Definitely a well kept resort.

We decided to stay here for a quick one night getaway from Nairobi with family. Cons: 1) On check-in we were told that there is an electricity problem and that the generator would be switched off from 2 am to 4.30 am in the night. They then switched off the electricity in the afternoon as well for 2 hrs. The...

My wife and some of our friends went on safari and stopped at Lake Naivasha in February 2017. We stayed at the Sopa Resort on Lake Naivasha. The resort is tucked away along the shore of the lake and has a wonderful atmosphere. Water bucks and monkeys roamed the grounds as we drove in to the lodge. Check in was...
