The Hotel offers simple service. Everything is basic. It's located ideally on the way from the airport/main highway/ to the City. Very convenient for someone who goes with a low budget for a business meeting or as a stopover for another trip. The highlights are clean rooms, very friendly staffs, and good wifi. The food is good but the menu... More

Probably one of the worst hotels I have every stayed in. The customer service was nonexistent. We were leaving at 7am the next morning. Breakfast was from 7am. ‘Could we have an early breakfast?’ – ‘NO’. ‘Some fruit?’ – ‘NO’. ‘Some cake?’ ‘NO’. ‘Coffee?’ – ‘NO’. We went and sat in the dining room at 6.30am to await our driver... I joined a group tour to go to Ethiopia and the travel agent chose Kino Hotel. Not bad but I don't enjoy the location, it is far from central area. At least, there is kiosk nearby, you can buy bottle of water, snacks. Nice hotel (except location) overall. There are Movie area, Bar area beside of restaurant. We had meal... More

Well I booked this hotel on Jovago and I have to say the map of where the hotel is, is about 4 miles out (its about 500m south of Gonder University). The other negative thing is there is a lot of noise at night, mainly dogs barking, the wifi I also found to be patchy and did not work on... More

I visited the Kino Hotel in September last year. Their service and staff were impeccable in every way. We were treated like VIPs not withstanding that I was not staying in the hotel, simply there to use their absolutely BRILLIANT wifi. They actually had great furniture in the lobby, perfect for putting your feet up after a long day of... More

The room was large and clean, and the food in the restaurant wwas better than in a number of other places we stayed. However, when we wanted breakfast at 7.00 am (they claimed we could have it from 6.00), we went down to find the staff still asleep and never did get breakfast. The dogs were not a problem, but... This place was cheap and clean. The food was great and the cook was amazing here. I loved the rooms and the view off the open deck balcony was beautiful overlooking some garden areas. The place had a bar and a restaurant area that were separate.

I read one review of the Kino and it was okay but not overly complimentary. The place is clean, the staff are excellent and the service is good. The wifi works well and there is running water and European toilets. Yes it is noisy at night but that is because you are near people and animals. It is less noisy... More

The hotel is clean, comfortable and the rooms a spacious and nicely decorated. As it might not be a 5 star hotel, it's one of the more reasonable hotels I stayed in, in Ethiopia. The price is also reasonable and really worth the stay (around 40$ per night, I believe). The staff is extremely nice and the food is OK,... More

The rooms in Kino are spacious and comfortable. Every floor has its own Wifi-router, but the rooms at the end of the hall don't have reception, so get a room near the stairwell. The location is not as nice - far away from the city center and from the sounds at night it's seemingly surrounded by all Ethiopia's barking dogs...
