I don;t know about the hotel so much, but if you need a cold beer, a nice view of the river, a place to socialize, let the kids run free while you relax - perhaps watch a game of Rugby or Soccer on tv? This is your local place! Plenty of seating, a bar, tv and kids play area. Enjoy!

Every time we stay here, we just love it. This time we were in a per setup tent. After a week in the bush this is a great place to clean off the dust, relax and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Even the party on the public river spot didn't last past 8pm

The stay at the above ' Lodge " was most unpleasant ! This is not a Lodge but def more suitable for 19 year old back packers . We stayed in a 'room ' with tin roof , no ceiling in 44 !! The bathroom had not been properly cleaned for years . I had no hot water for the...

My husband and I travelled to Maun on a Business trip staying one night at ORL! It's always popular and friendly and they know us as we stay there often! The Chalets are great with Ceiling fans and beds comfy ! Nice big showers also! We had a lovely dinner ! The breakfast was great also the next day !...

Fair enough this place is listed as 'Budget' accommodation, and in retrospect we should have forked out the extra money and booked somewhere else. Granted, the setting is lovely, but litter downstream was disappointing. The place is grubby and falling apart. It is inconceivable that the owner could rent out rooms in a climate like Maun's, with corrugated iron roofs...

The setting is lovely but the litter downstream was disappointing. Granted, this place is listed as 'budget' accommodation but more honest advertising would call it a basic backpackers. It is beyond belief that the owner could hire out rooms with corrugated iron roofs and no ceilings!! The sweltering 42 degree C heat made sleep impossible and not providing a loose...

Man, I read so many complaints before booking; I actually was a little bit concerned. However, this place is absolutely lovely and the staff very helpful and friendly. We did book one of those slightly bigger rooms and have no complains whatsoever. Yes, the place could get an upgrade but if you have been informed about it during the booking...

Without hesitation, whenever I go to Maun I stay at the Okavango River Lodge. Listed as budget accomodation it isn't a luxury lodge, but it is everything that one needs and excellent value for money. I have stayed in both Bedded Tents and Chalets which were clean and comfortable. The best part is the resturant and bar, where the friendly...

We went here one night for dinner as our B&B hosts recommended it We had just arrived in town after a LONG flight from Seattle so wanted to eat and get to bed The food took FOREVER to arrive- more than an hour after ordering . It was tasty enough( can't do too much damage to chicken Schnitzel ) but...

Our Kitchen is very small and is purely there as a service to our guests whom are staying with is and our regular patrons. In peak season other people come to eat and we get very busy. You have to be patient. We try to advise as best we can the waiting time when we are busy.
