This is a lovely place owned and run by a local family (not owned by Australians like much of the rest of this coast), who are investing a lot inot getting the business up and running The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and the food was pretty good, served with locally available vegetables..Rossyln has a big garden at the...

Off the beaten track of the Yasur mass-tourism, Iwaru offers beautiful accommodation in an idyllic sport with its own spectacular black sand beach. The bungalows are rather basic, but clean and comfortable. Rosalyne and Anna will do their best to spoil you with three local meals a day and your hosts Philippe senior and Philiipe junior are the loveliest people...

A definite recommendation if you're spending a few nights on Tanna and want to get off the beaten track. This is for those who want something different than the classic Vila-Whitegrass/Evergreen-Volcano-Vila recipe. The black-sand beach is beautiful - the sand is fine and the waves are great for boogie boarding, beginner surfing and swimming. The bungalows are clean and the...

This is probably the best local resort on Tanna! The hosts Philippe No 1 and his son Philippe No 2 run this lovely resort with dedication and competence. The bungalows are simple but clean and beautifully located. Beds, good mattresses, mosquito nets, clean linen, towels and ensuite flush toilet and shower are available in all 3 guest bungalows. From the...

Friendly hosts. Simple accommodation on a beautiful beach. A great place to stay if heading to the Volcano, hanging around Lenakel, or just in need of some peace and quiet! Value for money and great dinner cooked by the hosts.

Stayed for 2 nights at Iwaru bungalows with my family. Rosalind and Phillip the owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the beach-side location is amazing. Each bungalow has its own shower and toilet (cold water only) and comfortable beds with foam mattresses. The place is great for relaxing and listening to the sounds of the ocean away from...

Tourists usually go to Tanna to see the volcano, but there's so much more to the island than the spectacular fireworks of Mt Yasur. Iwaru Beach Bungalows is a perfect example of this. It's a destination in it's own right, situated south of Lenakel on the west coast, tucked into the bush alongside a beautiful black sand beach. We were...
