If you are in Tanna you must go to Port Resolution! It's such a lovely village with a stunning white sand beach, but also black sand beaches and hot springs. And what better place to stay than Island Dream Bungalows, perched on a hill overlooking the bay? I stayed with Nancy and her family twice, first in March 2013 and... More

This place is located on big, nice lawn and garden about 15 minutes walk from Port Resolution and 30 minutes drive to the volcano. There are several bungalows, an open air dinning room and scenic views. The place looks great, but you should be aware of what it's like to stay in bungalows on Tanna. Your host will arrange for... There are two things important when you visit this island. 1. Pickup from the airport as it is a 3 hour drive to the bungalows. 2. Arrange for transportation to the volcano. Both of which they failed. Luckily a friendly driver you was picking up someone else was willing to take us with him. Re the tour to the volcano,... More

As a volunteer on Tanna, I had my parents come to visit and took them to Port Resolution. We had a great stay at Island Dream Bungalows. We stayed one night and it was all very professional; clean bungalows and friendly staff. Food was also pretty good - be advised there isn't any other options for food other than the... More

Port Resolution which Tanna Island Dream bungalows overlooks is like a set for a 1930s romantic adventure movie: Blue Lagoon, Coconut Grove, tom toms and chants in the morning (and they were for real - it was the villagers doing their own thing with no tourists in sight.) I would agree with most of what other reviewers have said. The... More

We stayed here for part of our 25th wedding anniversay trip to Vanuatu. Of all the places we stayed this is the one we remember as such a special and unique stay. Nancy made us feel like family and we enjoyed meeting with all her family at meal times. The meals are delicious especially the fresh lobster caught that day.... More

I stayed with Tanna Island Dream Bungalows in Kate May 2014. I was a bit unprepared for Tanna, just knowing that I wanted to see the volcano, but what I found was more breathtaking. The panoramic views over Resolution Bay gives this lodge the edge on others. The rooms are small, quaint and Eco friendly which fits in well with... More

Stayed for 3 nights in May. Basically Tanna Island Dream Bungalows are an adventure. There is power for only an hour at night while you have dinner and a cold shower but the meals are delicious and are all locally grown/killed produce and meat. We had crackers for breakfast with Nancy's coconut honey one morning which was amazing - the... More

Tanna Island Dream Bungalows is located in a beautiful location overlooking Port Resolution bay and luscious tropical jungles. However, I agree with the previous review that if you are not prepared to "rough it" you could be very disappointed. 2+ hour journey through the jungle on the back of the Ute was exciting at first but did wear us down.... We stayed with Nancy and Sam for 2 nights in April 2014. Firstly, we were very surprised to find out that the trip from the airport to the lodgings was going to be 2+ hours on very bumpy roads in the back of a ute on wooden benches. It was an eye opening experience and one that we were not... More
