The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are amazing looking including a very comfy bed. You cannot walk to the cool mirror reflection part of the Salar. 1-5km of brown slush from 4x4 tracks before you get to the good part. This place would have gotten 5* but there's no excuse for the poor food. It was a buffet dinner...

I have to be honest and say that I was a little surprised by some of the reviews for this hotel. We found it extremely charming and the staff were both friendly and helpful. Yes it has some issues but they are minor and have to put some context on it - we are in Bolivia! Irrespective we really enjoyed...

Our group of 8 adults arrived after dark and were blown away by the drama of the "Salt Hotel." For one night in an amazing place like the Salt Flats, this is a great option. But as you can see from other reviews, there are a few issues. My issues were with the safety. I've traveled all over Peru, Ecuador...

Original and artfully done, with carved salt blocks, but would've liked to have a choice, even at a price; over what room you get. There was a large group of Japanese tourists while I stayed and all the nice rooms were taken.

At first sight the hotel is nice and different, every thing made of salt blocks, the bed was comfortable and the room was warm enough for us. Bathroom was clean, and basic with plenty of hot water, so no complaints there. However, because you are outside of Uyuni there is no much to do there, we wander the hotel for...

Positives: Anyone who stays here needs to consider where they are. On the edge of the world's largest salt flat. No, the Hilton will not build here. The hotel was cozy, warm and welcoming. They are expanding - large construction. Very welcoming and accommodating manager - thank you for the pisco sours - they were great! Nice and spacious dining...

I stayed here one night in the winter (beginning of July). The hotel is made of salt blocks and is attractive outside and in, with nice carvings in the salt walls and carved salt fixtures (benches, tables, etc). It was cold out, so we passed the evening sitting in one of the several sitting areas in the hallways, by a...

This hotel posts pictures that makes it look luxurious and deluxe, both the rooms and the dining room. They also talk on their website about feng shui, the fountains, the music. But they just don't make it. Yes, there's new age music playing softly inside, but outside the workers are listening to loud radio. Yes there are fountains, but only...

We stayed in Uyuni for two nights. The first night, we were at the Palacio de Sal. However, since they had a large group coming in the second night we were there, we had to move to the Cristal Samana. You can see my review of the Palacio de Sal and compare it to this one if you're trying to...

Currently hotel extensions under construction thus view and surroundings been loaded with construction items. Room was pretty but cold. Heater was been given on demand. Not enough space to place items - especially in the bathroom. Breakfast very poor. No fresh fruits. Some cheese. Instant coffee. Would expect a bit more. Service been helpful.
