A quiet location yet close to the central square. The family owners bring a pleasant and efficient atmosphere. The gardens, pool and outdoor covered BBQ and eating area for guests makes this hotel very special. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. More places to put our clothes would have been convenient. I would stay there again.

An overall wonderful experience! I spent a week in Cafayate, Argentina, staying at this hotel. I traveled there with a group of friends as part of our Argentina wine tour. The hotel is in an excellent location; a short 3 blocks from the main plaza. Most of the bodegas (wineries) are nearby as well; via walking or taxi. I would...

Angelica and her family welcome you with lovely gardens, comfortable rooms and wonderful service. Each morning, breakfast includes fresh fruit, orange juice, and homemade cakes. Extras are arranged efficiently by Christian who is fluent in English.

The Portal del Santo is a five-minute walk from the main square in Cafayate (which we learned is pronounced "Cah-fah-zhah-tay"). We stayed in a top floor suite facing away from the street. The room met the basic requirements: firm mattress; hot shower with good water pressure; and reasonably quiet. However, the furnishings were cheap and badly worn, and everything in...

We liked very much our stay at this Hotel. The owner family is lovely and gave a warm welcome. The rooms are nice and have a nice backyard with a pool. The breakfast includes also various products made by the owners themselves, like jam and cakes.

This is a lovely hotel in a lovely town. The bedrooms are clean and spacious. I strongly recommend a room on the first floor for the views of the Andes. Staff were very helpful even to book a trip (thank you Christian!)

We chose this hotel because we wanted to stay close to Cafayete's main plaza. Cafayete is the center of Salta's wine country. While we didn't particularly care for the town center (it is junky bordering on decrepit), we loved this hotel. It is a relatively small family operation. The rooms were fine, not urban chic but large, light, and appropriately...

This charming small hotel is family run with great pride of ownership. Angelina gave us a warm welcome - her beautiful gardens are sure to delight, fabulous attention to detail. Christian, the adult son, is an outstanding baker and provided terrific travel tips. The hotel is just on the edge of town, a few blocks walk to the center =...

Located a three or four block walk from the main square this family run hotel with papa on the front desk, mama giving a hand in the kitchen and sonny who speaks English acting as the host and jack-of-all-trades this hotel is a perfect base for exploring the Cafayte wine region - IF you can get past the two bodegas...
