This is an old house transformed in a beautiful boutique hotel and Spa, 15 km apart from Cafayate city, among vineyards, goats, horses, and the mountain as background. Very comfortable rooms with a terrace viewing the vineyards, great breakfast and we had dinner at the hotel enjoying the exquisite wine from Cafayate. You cannot miss to taste the Torrontes, white... The hotel is located by the main road, outside of cafayate. We were in one of the front rooms. It was beautifully furnished, very spacious and clean. We had a young baby and the hotel provided a pack and play for us. It was difficult to dine at the restaurant with our little bub but the staff happily brought us... More

We came down from Salta for a couple days in the Cafayete region, and Altalaluna was the perfect place for our stay. A friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and the silence were amazing. Sitting on the back patio in the late afternoon with a glass of Tukma Gran Torrontes while listening to a light, cool breeze blow though......priceless! Did I mention... More

Last month I have stayed two nights in Altalaluna in Tolombon, a small village closeby Cafayate. The hotel is really well maintained and the views are spectacular. The owner has great taste. Breakfast, lunch as well as dinner are really good, with many varieties and fresh products. The personell was very helpful. I especially recommend to book a massage in... More

Am actually reviewing the restaurant and not the hotel. We had a nice lunch in the porch with friendly service and pleasant food. The setting is OK, just a little bit too close to the main road from Salta to Tombolon: a more secluded location would have been more pleasant. The wine of the house is quite bad, ...

The hotel is very good, located in a peaceful town, Tolombon, near Cafayate (about 10 minutes by car). You need a car. The room was OK, perhaps it needs a bit of maintenance. The breakfast was great, lot of variety. The restaurant was very good. I recommend it.

When we first arrived I was in awe of this hotel. Rooms are gorgeous with incredible balcony views of the vineyards and a beautiful outdoor pool. Then came dinner.. The food was really bad. Mine was meat that they had clearly heated in the microwave. How do I know this? They left the cling film (saran wrap) on it. I... More

this is place is so beautiful, gorgeous colonial house, nice and clean rooms, a perfect place to relax away from everything. With a great view of their vineyards and a nice pool and spa i would love to go back again. Tolombon is a very picturesque colonial town with a lot of wineries (free wine to try!) It was a... More

Lunch at Alta la Luna We didn't stay at Alta la Luna, just went for Sunday lunch. However, given the opportunity we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this pretty hotel situated in a picturesque location. Once the whole of our party had arrived we were invited to make our way to our table. Placed beneath the spreading branches of an... More

We had great expectations about this "boutique" hotel when traveling with a group of adult friends along Salta's wine route. We were pretty disappointed, and here is why: The setting of course is amazing, a wonderful colonial house, surrounded by vineyards, next to a paved stretch of the mythic Route 40, with nothing but blue mountains on the horizon. But... More
