Reception a bit abrupt, but hostel in immaculate shape. Quiet rooms facing courtyard filled with luxuriant vegetation. Hot water, Wi-Fi, wonderful breakfast room two floors up with superb views. Slight disadvantage, as 2 floors up, no service most of the time and items rapidly exhausted. We felt breakfast was being rationed, to avoid this I guess you need to arrive... More

Stumbled upon this charming garden filled hostel when arriving in Cafayate. Most other hostels were booked or way too pricey but this one offered us a private room with air conditioning (very important in February!), hot shower with great pressure and comfy beds. The HIGHLIGHTS for us, was the smell of fresh baked goods and homemade marmalade being made for... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in May. When we arrived, we managed to negotiate a discount, because we thought the price was a little high. The staff are super friendly and helpful and even made sure we were up on time for our 5am bus when we left! Good points - *Nice breakfast up in the conservatory *Close to... More

Very nice clean rooms with comfortable bed. Good location - easy walking distance to main plaza. Nice courtyard and gardens with lots of plants. Secure parking for our motorcycle. WI-FI signal didn't reach our room but worked in the comfy seating outside the door. Breakfast had been arranged with attention to detail although just the same food as experienced in... More

Rooms in this hotel are very nice: good beds, clean, fairly large private bathrooms with a very nice shower. They do look quite outdated though, but that is not really an issue for us. We had a room on the street side, which aren't the best rooms, but then again, we also paid a bit less (285 pesos for a... More

We first looked at Nusta Hospedaje immediately around the corner but were very glad we kept looking and found this place which offered much, much more for just a little more money. Our room and attached private bathroom were spacious and clean (although dark - however for a little more money rooms with views were available too) and the bed... More

This was such a sweet hotel. It looks from the front like a big house. We slept in room rosas. We had asked for a twin room. When we arrived our bed was still a double bed. Our original room was occupied by guests that stayed longer. Without any problem they split the beds without us having to ask. And... More

I opted for this place as the Portal de Viñas was full for some of the dates I wanted. It´s true that an awful lot of mopping and swabbing downgoes on, but tiled floors require that, and it´s also true that there is no one in charge to answer questions and act as receptionist. The flowery patios are nice as... More

The Hostal del Valle is a very nice hostel, almost a boutique place. The guests are not so much backpackers, but a mixed crowd of South American, American, and European tourists. The rooms are simple but clean and well kept. The big plus at the Hostal del Valle is its breakfast room on the very top of the house, it... More
