We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in late June as we attended some weekend course at nearby Tibetan buddhist centre. The room we stayed was a very spacious twin-bedded room with comfortable beds. Yes, unfortunately the decor was rather old fashioned with some papers starting to peel, and electric kettle did not work properly to make a cup...

An excellent value for money hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good place to visit Moffatt, Dumfries Lockerbie & the Galloway Coast. The rooms were a little tired but with all the facilities needed.Compared to Motorway Services the Hotel was good value for money. The food was very good especially the Scottish breakfasts.

Stayed 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend and found the team to be really friendly and helpful - they also have a good sense of humour - so nice to stay in a hotel where personality greets you instead of staff that would rather not be there. On the first night we ate in the hotel - the lasagne...

Stayed overnight en route to Edinburgh.brilliant stay, brilliant, genuinely happy service, good food, lovely breakfast. Superb room, brilliant value. My wife had a salad for her meal, she reckoned that it was the nicest salad that she had ever had. Definitely left one with a feeling of wanting to come back again, for longer and more.

We stayed locally. Cannot comment on this as a hotel. We were recommended to use the bar and restaurant so popped in on a Saturday. We were warmly welcomed and the place was very busy. Excellent pint of smooth bitter preceded a very good value meal. Home made pâté and whitebait were followed by very tasty main courses of rainbow...

Have stopped off a few times on trips up and down the country and then booked a longer stop to explore the borders as it is good value. A fine comfy place with clean rooms and a great breakfast of any size available. Also had a few meals in the hotel which were all tasty and large portioned - can...
