Saturday night stopover on the way home after driving up from Manchester to Falkirk. Dead easy from the M74. Felt a bit billy-no-mates eating dinner on my tod in the conservatory with the rain pelting down outside, but good on them that the restaurant was full. Room wasn't perfect (dodgy door latch, one bedside lamp not working, had to hold... More

Stayed here as a pit stop on the way to glasgow , nice small homely style hotel. Arrived late and was greeted by nice lady, went to room small but nicely decorated and very clean. Went back to bar area and had a bite to eat before bed, food very tasty and hot. Breakfast in the morning very tasty, overall... More

We only went for a meal, it was superb. I had the lamb cutlets, I was asked how I wanted them cooked (pink) and they were cooked to perfection. My wife had the chicken curry and said it was very nice. All in all a great place to eat, why use a motorway service stop when something as good as... More

This place was absoloutely lovely! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Delicious evening meal and wonderful breakfast. Couldn't fault this place at all. Kindly allowed us to return a day later to pick up a few bits we left behind. We are planning our next trip to Scotland already so that we can stay here again.

Could not have been made to feel more welcome. Room and facilities great. Sure it was quiet but evening meal and breakfast were faultless. It is good to have a chat with the management staff and they were humorous and couldn't do enough to help. Small tip - take your own pillows ! Really enjoyed our stay Thank you it... More

We were staying at the Days inn up the road in Lockerbie and Annandale water services and didn't fancy a Roadchef or Big Mac. We were directed here by the receptionist at the Days Inn. The approach was dark and bumpy and it looked deserted but we decided to try it as there appeared no alternative. It was a real... More

We booked this hotel for one night whilst travelling in Scotland for business. Must admit we arrived in the dark and it was not easy to see if we had arrived at a hotel or a private house. It was pouring with rain and the pot holed car park was a slight challenge in the conditions. If you are looking... More

I travelled up from Devon in my ageing Hilux first weekend in October on way to visit family in Lochaber. Usually stop at Anandale when have the family but as I was on my own I was after something more homely. Found it! I had an excellent rare steak, superb breakfast and had good dog walks nearby for the dogs... More
