We have been to several high end safari camps in Africa...and this is the BEST overall based on our four night stay. The food, the service, the room were all top notch...but the game viewing and the guide we had (Yompy) were simply the best. We saw the "Big Five" on our first two game drives and saw the offspring...

Dear Rick L, Thank you for your marvelous review and high praise, we are overjoyed to hear you saw the entire Big 5 during your stay. This is in large part thanks to the amazing guides we have in camp who are highly skilled and adept to tracking the game throughout the area. The concession has been very exciting over...

Wow! Mombo and our fantastic guide Sevara, kept over-achieving from the moment we arrived until we left. Each game drive just went from one top to the other. After seven safaris we have never experienced anything like this before - Mombo is indeed the land of plenty. Due to a mistake with our booking we ended up three days at...

I went to Mombo during green season. I was met by heavy rain but the rest of our stay was dry and FANTASTIC. 15 minutes into the first game drive, Mr Blue eyes (leopard) was found in a tree and from there it just continued. Best ever animal sightings safari (out of thirteen). Camp of course great, nice staff, superb...

Mombo was our second stop on a month long safari trip around Africa. We still didn't quite know what to expect but Mombo definitely set the bar HIGH! Our tent-esque accommodations were grade A. I was a little nervous because the pictures online looked so much like camping but I was overly impressed by all that little details. Everything felt...

Some of the best game-viewing in Botswana is to be had on Chief's Island in the Okavango Delta, and this is right at the northern end of that body. Excellent sightings of lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, birds and so much more are common. The rooms are great and have fantastic views.

You are brought into a completely different world than your own as you enter Mombo Camp. The staff greet you with enthusiasm and usher you into their paradise. The camp's accommodations are breathtaking as you step into the "tents" for the first time and look out over the delta. One of my favorite places to go in the whole world.

What an amazing experience. We travelled as a family of 4 (My husband and myself and our 2 adult children). Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is often said that as soon as you walk out onto the main deck at Mombo and note the plain dotted with a variety of species of game, you know you are somewhere special. Not for nothing is Mombo known as "the place of plenty." Situated at the northern tip of Chief's Island, the largest landmass in the Okavango, the camp's elegant design complements its magnificent surroundings, with the spacious, luxurious tents - each sporting a private sala - raised off the ground to maximise the views of the floodplain. The game viewing here is exceptional with abundant plains game and predators never far away, from leopard and spotted hyaena to large prides of lion.
