HOT WATER! Did I mention HOT WATER! Even the pricey Eurobuilding in Caracas didn't have hot water. Posada l"auberge had some of the hottest water I've experienced in a 3rd world hotel. It's the perfect place to come after a grueling hike at Roraima. This hotel is located in the heart of the tourist / backpacker / trekker area of...

After seeing some of the other hotels in the area I was delighted to have found this place. Clean. Hot water. Fridge .comfortable beds and an owner who seems to care about his place. Great Wifi. Only downside for some people but not for me is that there are 4 large dogs roaming around that belong to the owner; but...

thank you very much. A lot of people take pictures with my dogs and many little children are happy to play with those dogs

Thanks to tour agency Hike-Venezuela we spent there three nights. Very nice room, clean, friendly staff and helpful owner, not any problem! Also good location opposite of the main tour operators. My best rating!

Don't even consider any alternatives. I've seen one and came running back to the Auberge. And I'm not a demanding traveler, especially after sleeping in actent for a week. This place is run by a Frenchman with four dogs, all friendly. He has his own water supply which he filters. Hence you can shower when you want and you can...

I stayed there several times. The owner is french and he lives there with wife and kids. They have 3-5 really cute and well educated dogs (it depends if there are puppies). It's possible to park your car untill around 10-11pm. After that you'll just have the key to a small gate, so you can get in and out anytime...

Santal Elena itself is peculiar and not very nice. It's just the little noisy starting point to Canaima National Park if you come from Brazil. It's difficult to find a nice place at all. Having this in mind Claude, the host, made a quite good effort to offer a nice place to stay. The best feature is the drinkable tap...

We passed through during the high season and then during the low season on the way back. Claude was an excellent host and he even helped me fix my car. He has a nice clean safe and friendly hostal that's good value. Great spot too. Just near enough to everything you'll need. The hostel also has drinking water and a...

This hotel offers that nicest accommodations on Santa Elena de Uairen's main tourist drag. The rooms are immaculately clean and come with strong Internet, air conditioning, TV, hot showers, and nice, soft sheets. I decided to go to L'Auberge l after I checked out a more popular hotel and discovered that the locks on the doors and level of cleanliness...

Multilingual French owner! No breakfast included. A good travel agency half block away. Good clean rooms, bathroom nicely appointed, hottest showers in this part of South America, and the air conditioning a godsend. Many good points but the owners dogs run the hotel. The dogpack is there to lick you upon arrival, follow you around the property, attempt to sneak...

Yes I have dogs (3 German shepherds and one golden retriever) and this is a real protection in this country. Many people enjoy my dogs and take pictures. The children play with the dogs. When you arrive you can see the dogs: they immediately come to know the persons. If somebody don't like dogs it's easy to go in other...
