Great hotel, next to a decent shopping center and close to cultural attractions. We frequently travel to Caracas on the weekends to see the symphony or visit a museum, and the Gran Melia never disappoints.

Best comfort/price relationship, great breakfast, very important aspect is that the hotel is placed in a mall, so you can have a walk and dine out w/o really leaving the hotel - this is really important since Caracas is the most dangerous capital city in the entire world; regarding my review, any opinion about hotels in Caracas always must be...

The hotel is enormous, great convention centre. Very close to one of the best commercial centres in Caracas called El recreo. This commercial centre has everything you might need. The shops are nice and restaurants are quiet good,

I stayed for a couple of nights with my family, it is a beautiful Colonial style hotel in the middle of Caracas, it has though seen better years. The food is fantastic, the breakfast abundant and with plenty to choose from. The pool is nice and clean and the service is good. The wifi could be much better it doesn't...

Although had left my CC-info @ reception when I checked-in, they told me I had EXCEEDED my limit by couple of BSF which quite embarrassing (in presence of...

Very safe next to a big mall, lots of coffee shops and metro. Although I look like a gringo, I walked during the day around alone and took the metro without problems. They want you to pay for gym. You can buy everything in Caracas, but not for subsidized prizes. I was very surprised about the offer of food and...

Members of personnel as the reception desk, with a few exceptions, speak only Spanish and are not especially friendly; it is also quite annoying to have to request several times the same thing before something actually happens. We had a basic room that was already of very-good quality. Cleaning personnel is friendly, works super well and is helpful. Facilities like...

This is definitely a nice hotel in a busy area, the room was good, higher floors are better, they have a cute bar at the lobby, I had the option for priority check in for my Melia rewards membership. And el recreo mall is almost part of the hotel, is good for shopping without leaving the hotel. We'll back.
