This is a wonderful "posada" (a little hotel), tastefully appointed and with great staff. Our room was large, had all modern amenities (including an AC), and even a hammock. The hotel has a terrace that is a lovely place to spend an evening and see the sunset. The breakfasts were cooked before our eyes by Reyman--delicious. Freshly made arepas and... More

Went with two friends for a short getaway. Amazing food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner so we never had to think about it). Great open-air design with perfectly suited interior decorations (and in-room A/C). Loved lounging on the terrace at night and seeing the stars. Just steps to the shore, where every day they arrange a boat and guides to take... More

We were a small group staying at La Terraza and all of us loved the experience. All the staff are helpfull and friendly and the food is just amazing! Every day they would prepare us a cooler to take to some island and we were always happy with the food choice. Also, as we were a group of brazilians they... More

At the end of our vacation we stayed two nights at the Posada La Terraza. I wish we could have stayed longer! The warm welcome by Juan and Josefina, the entrance, the open dining area, the plants and especially the outstanding art made us feel like home, not to forget the tasty food we were served.

We were a group of 3 fly fishermen who have experienced 5 star lodges in Iceland, Russia, British Columbia etc. Booked through Fly Fish Caribe (Daniel Beilinson), this posada delighted us in its laid back charm. It reminded me of how Latin America can excel at doing the rustic chic bit. And to go with being a laid back atmosphere... More

Having planned a fishing trip for a year and booking it with Carib Fly Fishing we headed for Venezuela not quite knowing what to expect. The plane landed on the outer edge of a vast lagoon with all the colors of blue from pale robin's egg to to deep azure. Met at the airstrip by a young fellow with a... More

I stayed at La Terraza for three days/two nights and it was a great experience. The place was clean and the food was great. The lady responsible for the posada (Blanca I think is her name) is great, she helped us plan our trips to the keys and made sure we had everything we needed. The inn is located right... More

Beautifully decorated posada with comfortable rooms, air-conditioning, hot water and delicious breakfast! Hosts are very helpful in organising daily excursions and are English-speaking. Rates are expensive but so is everything on the island so if you are not on a tight budget, this is a lovely place to stay in one of the most magical places on earth.

I stayed at Posada La Terraza for 2 weeks in August 2009 with 3 friends. It was my first time to Los Rogues and it was beautiful; the best combination of beach/sea/nature that I have experienced.
