This was a really great place to relax after a hot day at the beach, the evening meals were particularly impressive. But what stood out most for me was the level of hospitality at the beach. The staff would drive us to amazing beaches each day, set up shade umbrellas and leave us with an ice box full of great...

As a Venezuelan I felt like I was staying at a family house. Ninoska the owner, makes you feel like you are at home, she is very nice and also all the hostel staff are extremely helpful and kind. The room where I stayed with my wife had an open air shower, which was very interesting, you don´t need hot...

We recently enjoyed a stay at Posada el Botuto and can't express enough how much we appreciate the amazing staff. Unfortunately the airport closed the day we were due to fly (due to a crash!) so we were unable to leave. Roberto and Ronald were amazing, so helpful. They came with us to the airport, let us use their phones,...

Some rooms such as Room 2 had an open air shower which was a nice surprise, no a/c though, noisy chicken (0400am) next door & many barking dogs but the upside is no vermin! This is a remote national park minimum rainfall so be patient, lots can & does go wrong~ desalination plant broke down when we were there- water...

I stayed here at the end of December 2013. I am a solo female traveller (26 years old) and I felt very safe. My trip was organised by the amazing Ben at Osprey Expeditions- who I can't recommend enough! The staff were really friendly and spoke very good English. The posada was very cute, and right next to the "offices"...

The stuff was perfectly nice and the cook was creating masterpieces! There are millions of mosquitos at night but you're protected with network. General impression is very good! I would stay there again next time!

Shower not working, bathroom not working, hiddens fees (60 dollars) from the owner when checking out, bad excuses when making something wrong for example late lunchbox so we missed the boat to remote island. Very hot rooms. The personel was nice but the posada was badly run by the owner. Alot of mosquitos around the food to all the animals...

We stayed for one night at Posada Botuto in Oct ’13 as part of a 5-day tour arranged through Osprey Expeditions. The staff were so friendly and helpful that they completely made our stay so much easier and enjoyable. We had previously been told that we could pay for a boat/snorkelling trip on Los Roques using US$ so we only...

Nice location opposite the beach, rather than in the other streets with one posada beside the next (although you can't really swim nor hang out at any of the 'beaches on Gran Roque, they seem to be only for the fishing and transport boats). They managed to serve a different breakfast every day - scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, omelette......

We stayed there 3 nights during the summer of 2013. The rooms were cozy and the service was a good one. The two girls managing the posada are kind and they did their best with our special food requests. They coordinate with people taking your luggages to the airport and bringing the fridge for your day trip to the beaches....

“There is a noisy family on one side. But... you will get woken anyway by cockerels or dogs and no one can do anything about that on such an island. It's good to get up anyway before the day gets too hot.”

“Our room was next to the kitchen and thus very close from where people talk, if noise is a big deal for you ask for rooms in the back.”
