We were the first post-Covid guests at Lawaki in March ’22 and were the only guests for our stay of 3 nights which was perfect. We enjoyed chatting with the staff, especially Sereima, watching rugby with Sam (we're still watching: the Fijiana Druna just won the Championship!), snorkeling off the beach, and just relaxing. The food was great (especially the lobster and fresh chutneys!). The accommodations were perfect for our family of 3. The snorkeling here is really good, and while the drop off had healthy coral with a vast array of fish and even a passing white tip reef shark, the shallows might have been our favorite here - so many different species of juvenile fish! and there were turtles grazing in the mornings. As usual in Fiji, if you make any effort to get to know them, they will be happy to share and laugh with you and be the highlight of your stay!…
This is the perfect spot for someone who wants delicious meals prepared by someone else, an exceptional snorkeling spot right out the front door and a quiet atmosphere for relaxing. The bures are basic but comfortable and the common lounge is a fine place to sit and read a book. Christine and her husband are wonderful hosts with a goal of making you feel at home. Don't miss getting a massage! It was a perfect place for us to end our 2 week vacation on 3 different islands in Fiji. However, if you are looking for a fancy resort with lots of activities and wifi, this is not for you. This is the place to snorkel, stroll on the beach, eat well and "veg out."
Our family of 5 had an awesome time at Lawaki. we loved snorkelling and taking walks along the beach. The food was healthy, fresh and delicious (we loved the pumpkin soup!), and we loved that they had their own organic garden. Christine, Sam, and all the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend!
We simply had THE best time in Lawaki beach House which is home to Christine and Sam. It absolutely made our time in Fiji. We stayed for a week and I only wish it had been longer. It is such a beautiful place with our bure looking out on a Marine protected beach where our snorkelling excelled our experience on the Great Barrier Reef. Christine, Sam and the wonderful women who looked after us so well provide a Fijian experience not to be missed. The food was wholesome, fresh and tasty. The massages were gorgeous under a tree by the water and such good value. The bure was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. I was so chilled leaving. I cannot wait to return. This is a paradise I would like to keep secret and all to myself but decency to Christine and Sam prevents me from doing so! …

We (4 kids and 3 adults) enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay at Lawaki Beach House with relatives visiting from Australia. The location is magnificent and very convenient to Suva. We filled our days swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, walking the beach and relaxing in the gardens. We were very well fed with a nice range of delicious fresh food and all slept soundly in the comfortable and relaxing accommodation. Sam and the staff were friendly and attentive and the booking process with Christine was very smooth and able to accommodate a change in our travel dates. We'll certainly go again - thanks!
Lawaki is a great place for relaxation simple Bure with all you need wonderful traditional Fijian meals served on the large verandah overlooking the reef . Great snorkeling in the marine reserve a few metres from the accomodation. Highly recommend . The hosts Linda & Sam & the local women who serve up delicious meals 3 times a day are wonderful ..
This is a wonderful little "resort." I put that in quotation marks because it's so much more personal than most resorts - more intimate than upscale. It's truly a beach-house experience. We felt like we were family while we were there. That surroundings are beautiful, the snorkeling great, and the food was really wonderful. I can't recommend this highly enough.
I stayed for one week at this beautiful little resort on Beqa Island. The food was delicious, the accommodation was clean and comfortable, the grounds were immaculate and the staff were wonderful. Snorkelling was fantastic, especially out near the beacon. Thanks to owners Sam and Christine and the girls, Alumeca Sereima, Nani and Eve
My teenaged son and I enjoyed 4 nights at the Lawaki Beach House and it was the perfect spot for us. We were in the water snorkeling for several hours at least once every day and the snorkeling was world-class right off the beach. The beach offers great options for long walks. The accommodations were very comfortable, appropriately rustic and spotlessly clean and we appreciated the efforts that is made to keep the facility’s footprint as small as possible. Our hosts could not have been more friendly, informative or accommodating. The staff were warm and friendly and the food was varied, well prepared and beautifully presented. It’s a lovely, peaceful place where you can enjoy Fiji off the beaten track. Next time we will stay at least a week. Maybe two!
