The island is beautiful, lush green trees and landscape as far as the eye can see, very friendly local staff and the beach front bure has views of sea and surrounding islands that is breathtaking. The bure is modern with a pool, outdoor furniture and two very comfortable cosy beds. What is really surprising is how delicious the food is and how affordable the meals are per day. There is a set menu for the day. You choose your meals for the rest of your day at breakfast, so efficient, when you sit down for lunch and dinner, the food arrives, no long waiting periods.
There are no roads so you don't miss the sound of traffic. There is a free hike to a waterfall and if there is alot rain, you can take a dip in the cool refreshing water. There is also an opportunity to see sharks at a shark watching activity. There is an opportunity to kayak, snorkel, paddling board if you don't go out for a dive.
My family enjoyed the our stay and want to go back 🙂

We went to Beqa Lagoon Resort with our 2 little daughters (2 and 4 years old) and had an amazing time. The people were amazing, our Kiddies loved playing with Maria while we went diving. The rooms are greatly decorated and spacious, the setting is spectacular, and the food very fresh and delicious. We had very relaxing times at the pool after diving and also enjoyed the Fijian cultures shows before dinner. On top of that was World Class diving. The Sharks dives were simply amazing and breathtaking. We will surely come back

Nowhere else will you find a perfect paradise location that embraces you as family the moments your toes hit the sand of their beach. Kind, friendly and gracious staff members from various departments were readily available to meet our every need. Dive masters, spa services ( this is a MUST at least once during your visit), culinary services team, activities crew, boutique staff, grounds crew, housekeeping - EVERYONE took their lead from Filo, Guest Relations Manager extraordinaire! My husband is a diver, but I am not. However, there were plenty of activities to consider if I desired to do something other than relax by the pool. The opportunity to visit, observe and experience the Fijian culture of nearby villages was a tremendous privilege. Make this your choice in Fiji!!

Bequ lagoon stay for 7 days
Pros
Staff are amazing
Dives are great with sharks and sealife
Dive team is wonderful
Days planned well with dives in morning and relax in afternoon with some great activities free and paid
Beds are comfortable and so are rooms
Massage are great as well
Lots of time to chill and relax
Con
Food, drinks and snacks
Bring extra
Drinks are so expensive. I wish I got dutyfree on way in. Would of saved heaps of money.
Get some snacks at airport because otherwise a packet of chips will cost you $15
Food is ok but you would struggle if you are vegan due to lack of options.
No fridges in rooms
Things to note
Take mosquito replant
Take some cash to buy things from local shop as not cash on island and also to put in tips for cleaners & dive crew

Beautiful resort with stunning views and laid back vibes.
Accomodation is clean, comfortable with turndown services.
Staff are extremely friendly, good to chat to, and provide good activities and entertainment on the evening.
Food is ok, but if your vegan you will struggle and most vegetarian options always has cheese and cream with not much variety.
Snorkel and shore diving available
Cons would be the price of soft drinks and alcohol. Would suggest loading up at duty free and mixers and soft drinks in the local village prior to taking the boat to the island.
Wifi is also $20 per day or $100 per week.

I stayed at Beqa Lagoon Resort at the end of December 2019.
The staff were great and the accommodation was pretty good, though it is starting to show its age.
The diving was great and I got to see tiger sharks and a few other types.
Some nice coral dives as well.
Sadly the dive boats are in a terrible state:
Dive tank racks held on with a couple of pieces of rope because all the bolts are missing.
Engine shut down using a piece of cord because cable was broken.
Ladder to the deck above propped up with a piece of wood.
Support beam for deck above missing missing bolts and shifted from its correct position.
A liferaft and emergency beacon had been removed as being unnecessary and costly to service. While that may have been true, it was an indication of cost cutting for me.
We went on a dive and, while doing our safety stop, I looked up at the moored boat then continued the safety stop. When I looked back up the boat was gone. The dive guide went to the surface and returned then we surfaced to be informed that the boat had broken the mooring, then the boat's motor wouldn't start so they had to anchor the boat which we then had to swim to, about 100m away. One of the divers almost missed the boat due to the strong current. We then had to wait for another boat to come and pick us up.
I am ex navy and I have been going to sea on ships and boats since I was 17 (now 60). My advice is to not go out on these boats until they are fully repaired or replaced.
It's a real shame as this resort must have been wonderful once but these boats are a serious accident waiting to happen.

Words can hardly do justice to our experience at Beqa Lagoon Resort. From start to finish, it was a stay filled with warmth, relaxation, and incredible moments. Here's a glimpse into our unforgettable experience:
The Staff: The staff at Beqa Lagoon Resort couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. Every request was met with promptness and a smile, always with a solution at hand. A special shout-out to Filo, who was attentive to our needs, ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. When we arrived, my two-year-old nephew was on medication, and they kindly provided a small fridge for our room, even though it wasn’t included. This level of care set the tone for our entire stay.
The Food: The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish was elegantly prepared, and the portion sizes were just right. Having lived in Fiji for years, we know that local cuisine can be hit or miss for us, but the food at Beqa Lagoon Resort blew us away. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavours were outstanding. My advice? Don’t hesitate—order anything that catches your eye, because you won’t be disappointed!
Before arriving, we had read reviews mentioning that lunches were light and snacks might be needed. So, we brought some snacks with us, but they ended up being unnecessary. The meals were more than sufficient, with a wide variety of options, including meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, and even a children's menu, which my nephew enjoyed thoroughly. For those who do want something between meals, snacks are available at the bar, though we never found ourselves needing them.
The Room: Our two-bedroom suite was incredibly cozy and well-appointed. The living room was set up perfectly for relaxation, the bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space, and the bathroom was spotless. My favourite feature was the porch, offering a spectacular view and, surprisingly, very few mosquitoes—a rare and pleasant surprise in locations like this.
Activities: While Beqa Lagoon Resort is known for its diving, we didn’t dive during our stay, yet we still found plenty to do. The resort offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Peace and tranquility surround you, and there are numerous excursions and activities available. We took a trip to The Secret Island, and it was well worth it—one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I only wish we had more time to explore further. For those interested in snorkeling, the nearby coast offers a wonderful experience as well.
Beqa Lagoon Resort exceeded all our expectations. The serene atmosphere, friendly staff, and top-notch amenities made our stay truly special. We’re already planning our return and can’t wait to experience this slice of paradise again. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with amazing service and activities, Beqa Lagoon Resort is the place to be.

Beqa Lagoon Resort has heaps to offer families. We had a group of 7 ranging from 6 to 50+ and we all could find things to do. It's very natural so it appeals to the adventurer. Our teens enjoyed the shark feeding and our younger ones loved walking around the resort and playing at the park before hitting the cool pool. When it's night tide, the beach is ideal for a swim and it's calm so little kids can enjoy too. The staff are very friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The massages are highly recommended too. We love BLR!

poor value for money, staff don't communicate with guests and try to overcharge or upcharge guests. dive team was fantastic and dives are good--just watch out for high "rental" charges on BCDs and regulators, even if you have paid for dive packages. all in all, the value and experience isn't there for what they ask you to pay.

My wife and I are in Fiji for 2 months and we decided to go to Beqa Lagoon Resort for 3 nights in order to experience Fijian culture a little better than we could on the mainland, we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed the daily activities that were offered as part of our stay, firewalking, a school visit, a village visit, a kava ceremony, a hike back to a waterfall, a lovo feast, a cooking demonstration...the list goes on. We enjoyed are first three nights so much that we booked another two while we were there in order to have the time to partake in these activities. Our room was wonderful, we had a Koi Pond room which suited us nicely, it was very clean and had a small fridge in it to keep drinks nice and cold. We don't scuba dive but we do snorkel and the reef is in great shape and the various species of fish are abundant, I even saw a Whitetip Reef Shark, which made my day. Probably the one thing we noticed more than anything was the friendliness and dedication of the staff at Beqa Lagoon Resort, they were great...oh yes, and the meals were excellent, best food we've had in Fiji in our first 3 weeks on the Island. In short, it's a great place to visit, we'd go back in a heartbeat. 😎

Hi,
There are specials for December, pls email the reservations office (it won't allow me to insert email here, but it's available on the website). And yes, there's availability.
Best regards,
Alex Ilnitsky
I am not quite sure to be honest but I don't know how you would manage to do so without at least staying an overnight.
You have to take a boat ride to Beqa Lagoon and this is part of the stay. You would have to figure out another way to hire a boat to get to the island.
The other thing is, is that all dive boats (aside from night dives which are not the shark dives) leave the resort just after breakfast so I can't see you being able to get there on time.
You can always stay for one night as one couple did when I was there (actually, it might have been two nights). They came for the shark dive (two dives/two tanks) only.
