I have just returned from Explora. The plan was for three nights. That would not have been enough. The hotel is amazing, but the staff was incredible. They were exceptional in there knowledge and even more so in there caring attitude for the guests. Beno and his staff went out of their way to see that each guest got the...

Great situation, perfect guided excursions in small groups, excellent healthy food, very friendly staff, all rooms looking onto the sea, furnished very tastefully with local material, all luxury - but no 'chichi'.

The hotel was great and what we expected from an Explora location. Only 30 rooms so very intimate. We went in late November just before start of high season so hotel wasn't even half full and quite peaceful. The weather is unpredictable, don't trust the weather forecasts, be safe and bring clothes for all conditions (rain, wind, cool, heat). When...

Spent 5 days at Explora, everything was wonderful. The food was excellent, varied at every meal. Very fresh seafood with a gourmet touch. The service was great everywhere - the bar, restaurant and of course the guides. I did read a review that spoke about the inconsistency of the guides but we did not find to be the case. We...

Explor Rapa Nui is there but not there. It feels exposed to the wild but at the same time it is a luxury experience. The guides are the best part of it all, they are the portal to your exploration and they do it quite well. Highy recommend to try all hotels and trips they offer.

We just had a 5 day stay at the Explora. I think 5 nights is a good length of time... 3 is too little to not feel rushed, and 6 or 7 would feel too long (to us). Even though October is supposed to be "dry season", we had strong rains and clouds for 2 of the 5 days... The...

Best accommodation on Rapa Nui, no doubt. But there are (for $1100/U.S per night) a few missing pieces, such as: 1. Consistent guides for activities--in 4 days, we had 2 GREAT guides & 2 mediocre ones--not a good percentage. 2. Consistently good meals--most items were delish, and the service was EXCELLENT in the dining room. But the soups & desserts...

Everything about our stay was professional and relaxing. Excellent room and bed, peaceful and relaxing with superb guides who know Rapa Nui well and were all local. Food exceptional. Swimming under the stars and at dawn in the hotel pool was magical. This would be a stunning honeymoon destination and is worth the cost. When it rained the staff went...

It is quite difficult to make this review of the Explora Rapa Nui lodge as there would be so much to say. Imagine an amazing building build by a renown Chilean architect but inspired by local houses, a very good level restaurant, a very well-furnished bar, rooms which could best be described as Spartan luxury. All of this animated by...
