Ms. Halversen, Alfredo and their family maintain a high quality hotel that blends into the incredible frontier feeling one gets in the middle of Patagonia. the food in the restaurant should draw outside guests. The only minor drawback is that the driveway is 1.5km to the main road. It is a 40 minute walk to El Chalten. We were there...

We stayed for two days, to do a bit of hiking in the area. The owner Alfredo was very helpful in explaining where all the best walks were before we set off. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Whilst the Estancia is a bit out of town it was never a problem as the courtesy lifts were available to...

I will always look back on the 5 days my wife and I stayed at Estancia La Quinta as some of the best of our lives. We arrived at the Chaltén bus station at 9pm and decided to hike to the estancia because there was still light out. It took us about 45 minutes to hike there from the bus...

We had a perfect stay at La Quinta. We stayed for three nights very recently (beg of March). It is located just outside of the main town of El Chalten, but we really enjoyed the walk from the town to the Estancia every evening. We ate in the restaurant at La Quinta two of the three nights. Service was great...

This is a very nice place just two miles outside of El Chalten. It's a working ranch complete with cows in the front yard. The access road is a bit rough, but a piece of cake after driving through Torres Del Paine. Alfedo, the owner and host, is very friendly and speaks excellent English.

This hotel is out of town but offers free transport in the morning and evening if required. It gave us a different hotel experience. There are free roaming cattle and calves and we got to feed some of the calves. Obviously being out of town it is very quiet and its somewhat isolation was just lovely- stunning views of the...

This is a really nice place to stay. Comfortable rooms, friendly people and some great common areas. Beautiful location. It is let down a bit by mediocre breakfast, a strange hot water system (in fairness we always got it to work with some time and effort) and absence of tea and coffe facilities in the rooms (this is not a...

We had booked at Estancia La Quinta because it seemed like a nice, quiet retreat. However, Estancia la Quinta is about 5 kilometers from the city of El Chalten, and a taxi ride into town costs 200 Arg pesos each time you go/come back. The location was so inconvenient, and to top it off, the hotel owner was extremely rude...

Very traditional place of the Patagonia Austral! the owners are great and as soon as you get there, they go over with you to advise you what activities to do, keeping in mind your interests, how much time you have to spend in the area and your physical availability. If you like nature, you'll enjoy this place very much. There...
