My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. No complaints, it was fine and the people are very friendly. However our room was on the main floor a few doors down from the lobby and it was EXTREMELY loud. You can hear everything that gets discussed in the lobby from the start of breakfast in the morning and as late...

We stayed here in El Chalten for three nights as part of a 3 week trip to Argentina and Chile. We were placed here by a travel agent and were not able to change the hotel after we got there. The room was dreary and very closely situated to the lobby/breakfast area, directly across from the lobby bathroom. All first...

El Chalten is a great place for hiking but the cabanas are not the place to return to after a long day on the trails. We would have found it very depressing had the weather not been wall to wall sunshine. Our cabana was shabby inside and out, showed several signs of damp, had very poor cooking facilities and the...

The hotel is in a very convenient location - close to the bus terminal, restaurants and outdoor shops. Our room was a good size and shower and bathroom were good. Only complaint is the lack of a shelf or countertop to store our toiletries. There are towel warmers in the bathroom which came in very handy after we returned cold...

We stayed four nights in early December. The staff was very helpful in answering questions via email before our stay as well as helping with activities and restaurant suggestions upon arrival. We stayed in a triple in Room 3 and had a direct view of Mt. Fitz Roy. Breakfast was included and the breads are baked on-site. Upon returning from...

I stayed there for four days recently and it's a great little hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast included. There's no TV in the room but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice: lots of hot water and very clean. what more can you ask for? Staff spoke excellent English. And they do laundry for $5.00!!! And the...

We came back one day early from our backpacking and we were referred to this place. The cabin was very roomy for 4 of us. The room rate was very reasonable compared to another place we stayed nearby. Julia was very helpful with restaurant recommendation and transportation information. Breakfast was not included in the cabin rate but for 50 pesos...

We visited in November to use the hotel as a base for hiking excursions. It is will located in the centre of Chalten, and only a few minutes walk from the bus station. El Chalten is more of a base camp than a city so I wasn't expecting anything swanky in the way of lodging. Cumbres Nevadas is ideally located within a few hundred yards of the Cerro Torre trailhead (a must-do). The rooms aren't huge but they feel cozy, not small. However, the hotel is designed in such a way that all...
