Recommended by a local. Glad we stayed here. Rented a Cabana for two nights. Fair price. Everything was clean and comfortable. Had issue with hot water heater but staff quickly fixed the problem. Easy walking access to all major climbs. Highly recommend to folks who wouldn't normally stay at a hostel.

You will be glad you dropped your bag there. Super clean hostel with very friendly staff. All the information you need including good restaurants. Get quiet at a reasonable hour. Private rooms get a free breakfast at the restaurant next door.

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. The room was nice and clean but relatively small. The shared bathroom was good but could have been cleaned once more as the bins were overflowing at night. The kitchen was okay. There should have been oil and salt provided though as this is a standard for other backpackers hostels. Good...

The main building is nice: spacious, fairly warm (in winter) and with a well-equipped kitchen. The front desk folks are welcoming and helpful. WiFi works and--for El Chalten standards--is fairly fast. I would happily give this place 4 dots or even five, but then I got to spend the second night in an 800ARS cabana -- and that was a...

Dear Daniel, sorry that have had to change their accommodation to be filled ours. At that time there were many problems with the water supply and pressure was very variable. We always recommend our guests tell in advance how many days they want to stay housed, to avoid running out availability. We wait for you on your next trip to...

The hostel is in impeccable shape. Room bed and plumbing all OK. Good breakfast, all staff very attentive and helpful. Example: they lent us hiking staffs for free. A good location for meeting other hikers. Wi-Fi rather feeble (this is very frequent in Argentina). Room single-glazed with a poor-quality Al frame, so ample condensation during the night - not our...

The double with private bath was about 200 more expensive than the going rate. The staff really made us feel like we we're imposing on them whenever we asked a question. Finally at checkout the staff member quoted us a different (higher) price. We tried to find a middle ground but the staff was inflexible and very rude. Plenty of...

We stayed here for two nights in total. Once before we hiked for 4 nights in the national park and once more after and before we hiked to Chile. Our first room was perfect, we took a room with a private bath and breakfast included. It wasn't cheap but it was nice after so long camping. On our return we...

We walked in off the street and booked a private room for our return from hiking. Exceptionally nicely equipped hostel, more like a hotel. Good sized private room. Quiet in the hotel wing. Plenty of communal space to chat with fellow Travellers. Very helpful staff.

Stayed two nights, a week apart, this February in the hotel wing. Service doesn't get much better than this! Simple, comfortable rooms and very convenient location. Breakfast next door was included and excellent restaurants, like La Tapera, were only a couple blocks away.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hostel which had a good-sized room and quick hot water in the shower. Friendly staff and a good location. Wifi was pretty much non-existent, but that's not why you come to El Chalten!
