Spent 2 nights and 3 days in El Chalten. This is essentially a bed & breakfast (and not a hostel), and so if you go in high season, it is expected to be quite pricey. Great breakfast for hikers (includes eggs + lots of fruits you can bring); allowed us to use their fridge for storing extra food items for...

Clean and with a great breakfast that included eggs and didn't require diners to do their own dishes. Well located near the start of the major trails. Not on maps (Google or Maps.me) so is incredibly hard to find. But that shouldn't be a reason not to stay. Just be sure to know where you're going!

Everything in Patagonia is going to be pricey but you can probably find better priced accommodation than this place. El Chalten is such a small town that everything is close by and as such location doesn't matter too much. This place was nice and clean and the beds were comfy. However thy don't provide any extra level of service beyond...

Its located nearly the middle of town and Its about 10 min walk from the main bus station. The start of the laguna torre hike is around 5 min walk from here or 10 min walk to the start of laguna de los tres. The breakfast is nice. The staff was helpful. The only downside is the wifi is located...

Pros: helpful staff, close proximity to the trailhead for Lago Torres hike, and within walking distance of bus station, restaurants, and shops. Cons: wi-if was slow, and one out of two showers lacked hot water (argh). Overall, felt a little dingy in the rooms. Also, our doorknob broke off the door which was random.

We stayed at this hotel 3 nights doing hiking trips in the area. The hotel is clean and well maintained, well heated, with clean rooms and bathrooms. People working there are very supportive and nice. WiFi is bad in the whole El Chalten village, so you cannot blame any hotel for a bad signal. We felt very comfortable here after...

The is a family run hotel that is located in the middle of El Chalten, on the main street halfway between the bus station and the Fitz Roy trail head. The guy who is at the front desk is very nice, speaks English well and works hard to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms aren't fancy, but are clean. The...

My wife and I used the hotel as a base for day hikes and highly recommend it. The service was outstanding. We arrived long before the posted check in time of 2pm but were checked in anyway. We bought some beer and were given a container of nuts to eat with it. We were given plates and cutlery to eat...

Hostel was run by a nice guy and his family. The free breakfast (cakes, coffees, sweets) was pretty good and you can get a few eggs if you ask. Rooms were clean, guy at front desk was helpful and called a cab for us once to get to Hostel El Pilar.

The localization of the hotel is good. Closed to a nice ice cream shop. The hotel is peaceful and clean and the breakfast is ok. However the bed is not very comfortable. Don't expect to use the wifi but it is the same problem everywhere in El Chalten.
