Everything about this place was great (except the slow wifi and the price - $140 a night, though everywhere in El Chalten is expensive). Lovely room, good location right off the main street, but above all some of the nicest and most helpful staff I've ever known. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your nice comments about the lodge and mainly about our staff! Internet (wifi) is a permanent struggle in the area!!!! We hope it improve in a short run. See you next time in El Chalten.

We stayed with a walking group for 3 nights with breakfast. The rooms were a good size and plenty of hot water after a long walk. The lady who ran the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful with all the other staff very good. It is recommended to go out for dinner, there are plenty of good restaurants

We enjoyed out stay here, The whole town is lovely and so small that any accommodation would be fine in terms of location as they are all an easy walk to restaurants, trail heads, etc. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable and roomy. We found the staff very welcoming upon arrival giving us a good overview the hotel and...

I hate giving negative reviews and I'm normally a reasonable person. After reading other TA reviews I decided that El Puma was a good choice, but during our stay something was lacking, primarily a positive attitude by one of the desk clerks. First, the positive points - El Puma is very much hike-in/hike-out as the trailhead to Cerro Torre is...

This was an extremely cozy and comfortable place to stay while doing lots of hiking in El Chalten. The staff was helpful in pointing us toward hiking trails and shortcuts to the trails (very conveniently located within walking distance from this place). We also rang in the New Year here and they had champagne for us in the lobby (we...

Stayed at El Puma while enjoying the classic treks in tbe area. My time at El Chalten was spectacular and it was wonderful to come back to such lovely accommodation in the evenings. The staff were wonderful and the rooms spacious and comfortable.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Bed was great. Hot shower was wonderful after long hikes. The hotel is a block off the main road, which is nice because it is quiet. Every place in town is walkable. It is close to the trail as well. Good stay.

We stayed here for three nights (resembling a small Swiss ski town) and though there are a mixture of hotels, this one was the best, a lovely bed and breakfast that wasn't ostentatious but warm, comfortable, & with large rooms. The lighting is a bit dark, and plugs are hard to find but on the other hand the water pressure...

We stayed at El Puma for three nights in March. While not luxurious it is very pleasant and comfortable and as other reviews repeatedly note the staff is totally charming and helpful.
