El Puma is a very comfortable, clean Hosteria in a quiet part of El Charlton. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. It is conveniently located to all the town's major attractions.

Of all the hotels we visited in Torres del Paine and El Chalten, El Puma was our favorite. The rooms had so much character with the brick walls and wood ceiling. Extra added bonus for us was the bathtub and the towel warmer which made it easy to hand wash clothes and hang for quick dry. Breakfast was basic but...

We stayed at the Hosteria El Puma for three nights in March 2017. From the moment we arrived, the incredible staff were welcoming and super helpful. They provided recommendations and directions for shopping, restaurants and other needs. We went on long hikes two of the three days we stayed and were provided wonderful lunch boxes that included home-baked, yummy brownies...

Very friendly, cosy hosteria with nice clean rooms, and well placed out of the main street but close to the start of trails. The breakfast yoghurt was amazing. Staff helpful and knowledgeable, gave us the right advice about when to go on the walk to the Fitzroys, to get the best views.

I stayed at El Puma with my sister and mother for two nights. The room was very clean and spacious, and the hosts were very helpful (suggesting hikes/activities, calling taxis, suggesting restaurants, etc.) The breakfast is simple but sufficient, and there are many of books for pleasure reading/learning more about Patagonia in the front lounge.

The location offers nice views of the surrounding peaks and is very convenient for walking to the self tour trails ( Laguna Torre is just behind the location and Sends Fitzroy is just a little ways down the main road. Breakfast was simple and we had yogurt upon request. Rooms have ample space and kept clean. This location was quiet...

Good location and clean rooms with a friendly staff. As others have noted, it is very conveniently located to the start of the Laguna de Los Tres or Torre trails, although the town is so small that it's not necessary to base your decision off that - everywhere in Chalten is pretty close to the trails. This hotel describes itself...

Great little place close to the start of Laguna de Los Tres and Laguna Torre trails. Quick walk to the main street. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Nice fireplace in the lobby! The best of all is the wonderful staff, always available to help and answer questions.

Great location, accommodation and friendly staff. Would have given more stars if in house restaurant was not too expensive. They count on you being too tired to walk into town so they charge like a wounded bull
