The hotel has a very good location and it also has a pool for the families to enjoy. I went there with other two families with kids, their rooms where in the building side in front of the office and were clean and with big washrooms, mine was in the extension part of the building, in the back of the office and it was dirty and outdated. I could hear everything from the other rooms and lots of young people were partying in that side of the building, I couldn’t sleep during the night. After I made the complaint in the office the noise was considerably less for the rest of our stay.
I'm great full I did not read the reviews before I booked. Wasaga Beach can attract a young crowd. My wife and our 2 boys were in town for a triathlon. It was the perfect location, clean and very well maintained (wear and tear normal). They have strict rules in place to ensure your quiet enjoyment. I do not believe they are heavy handed or charge outrageous fees for cleaning etc. They are preventing over crowding and noise. If you are looking to over crowd and create noise this is not the place for you.
We loved it here , being a little skeptical since some of the reviews were not very good but let me tell you they are FALSE, my husband and I travel quiet a bit and we could not find fault with this place at all , ok it’s not the ritzs Carlton but it’s a very clean well located hotel, the pool is super clean the terrace is wonderful, the trail along the hotel brings you directly to the beach if you forget something it’s a min walk back this was a great weekend getaway and will be back next year no doubt!!!!! For all the ones complaining stay home
My husband and I found ourselves in Wasaga and got the last available room in this motel. The room was tidy, and beds were very comfortable. The motel is close to everything and you can walk for coffee, LCBO, restaurants, etc. I did however find some basic cleaning was lacking - the doors around the door handles were dirty and could have easily been cleaned. There was also some mold staining on the ceiling beside the ventilating bathroom fan. Overall, the room was fine.
I read a review from 2011 and couldn’t believe how similar it was to my stay! (See pic).
If you are going to Wasaga with friends who anticipate walking back and forth from the beach because of how wonderfully close it is to this place, make sure you do so before 9pm! The moment the owners get word that you are a group larger than 3, be prepared to be stalked, harassed, and accused for sneaking in guests! And when we tried to explain that no, we are not sneaking people in, we were yelled at all weekend... literally YELLED at! We were told “SHUT THE F*** UP!” on one occasion...
We were accused of sneaking people in based on the number of vehicles we had over the weekend (we were 8 girls sharing 2 rooms with 5 cars coming from Ottawa, Montreal, Sudbury and London).
When we would sit on our porch and talk with our neighbours and would be told to go inside or go to the beach. It was a very uncomfortable stay, with the owner hiring security just to watch our door.... after she tried to burst into our room and we did not let her.
The morning we left we were accused of leaving the room a “mess” because we had tied up garbage bags by the door, left un-made beds, and had some sand on the ground. This was communicated to us by the owner’s husband who was in the midst of cleaning up broken glass in another room ...
Needless to say, the location is prime but not worth the hassle. We were charged 3 extra transactions of $100, $50 and $50 two days after our stay without notification or receipt indicating why. Currently in dispute with Credit Card Company.
