Glan Y Dwr is a very nice place to locate for a tour around southern Wales. The beautiful mountains offer hiking and driving scenery. The coal mining region is just to the south. The house itself is beautiful, and Alison and Julian are perfect hosts, accommodating all needs and offering excellent advise. On our arrival, my wife was becoming I'll...

This was a fantastic B&B we visited for 2 nights when friends were married nearby in Crickhowell. The B&B and its hosts are wonderful. We couldn't have asked for nicer service, cleaner rooms or more comfortable beds. I am picky and want to stay in nice places when I'm paying for a holiday or I'd rather stay at home. Glan...

This is our second visit, this time with some friends. Excellent stay again. Spotless, tasteful, warm and welcoming. Thank you for the loveley coffee / tea with cakes and great our breakfast. Great recommendations of places to eat in the evenings (Gliffaes Hotel and The Travellers in Talybont on Usk).

We stayed here during the Crickhowell walking festival in March. Cannot fault it in any way . The room was exceptionally comfortable, the breakfasts superb, and the hospitality offered by Julian and Alison was second to none. Can only echo the rave reviews of other posters. The only downside is that subsequent stays at B&Bs have simply not matched up...

The welcome we received from Julian and Alison to their B&B really cannot be beaten. They run the B&B almost as if you are a friend rather than a paying guest and both the facilities and the welcome is hard to fault. The B&B is located in the middle of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons and very close to an...

We stayed here for a weekend break away in January after seeing all the great reviews on Trip Advisor and we wholeheartedly agree with them all!!! Our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean and we were made to feel vey welcome. The breakfast was great. We particularly enjoyed the homemade muesli and delicious fruit salad. The location was great...

We stayed here for three nights in February to escape from work for a few days and to celebrate an anniversary. We had a lovely time, the house was gorgeous, and Alison and Julian are kind and attentive hosts. Thanks for making it such as special few days.

Lovely clean rooms with gorgeous comfy beds. Yummy breakfast, nothing too much trouble. I had Delicious home made Granola with yoghurt and porridge, the other breakfasts were all excellent too. The ceilings in Pen Y Fan are quite low so don't choose this one if you are over 6ft tall but the bathroom is huge! Thank you for such a...

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with Alison and Julian at the end of August. They absolutely made our brief two night stay. They are welcoming, friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Julian even helped to ensure our walking boots got a proper drying out after the drenching they received on the...
