The cottages were situated in something reminding of a tropical jungle. Very nice people who ran the place. They even offered to drive us to the village one night så we could have dinner with wine/beer without thinking about driving back in our rental.

We have stayed at the cottages a few times now and words cannot describe how amazing the place is. It is Welsh bliss! Such a perfect set up for family groups or a romantic weekend away for two. The place is very relaxing and the beds are so comfortable! There are lovely nature walks to go on and a variety...

We've just got back from a week spent in Buzzard Cottage and have had a wonderful time. The four of us and the dog thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the weather was kind to us and the cottage is well equipped and comfortable. There's everything you need and the welcome cake was absolutely delicious. Special mention must go to the bed which...

We had the most peaceful and tranquil holidays ever; only the sound of birds, the rustling trees and the flowing Irfon river. It was already the 3th time we were here, but it never gets boring. Our cat had the time of his life, and all this paradise for himself. Also Gyles and Karin were most friendly and helpful, the...

First time at Cwm Irfon, what a fantastic place. Really quite with the felling of remoteness, no mobile signal :-). Buzzard Cottage was brilliant for the two of us an our three Collies. All you need to bring is vino and food, all cooking utensils are there including freezer, fridge and TV. The bed was very comfortable with nice linnen,...

We stayed at the Woodpecker Cottage from 26th July 2014 and had an absolutely brilliant time there. We chose this location for the remoteness and the dog walking, and were not disappointed. Most days we were out on the hills and in the forests for about 6 – 7 hours a day and we never met another soul. The cottage...

I recently stayed in cwm irfon with my family. The 13 of us enjoyed a week of relaxation and peace of quiet, the local town had a few shops to purchase essentials but it really is isolated. The surrounding areas are perfect for rambling and mountain biking. About half and mile down the road from the lodge is a natural...
