Although we're quite local (Newbridge on Wye) this was our first visit to the Trout. There was a lovely atmosphere; friendly staff, wood burner glowing brightly, lots of other diners....our meals were excellent - delicious and freshly cooked. I had pan fried hake, husband had poast belly pork and our friend had trout - all realy good. There was a...

Beautifully cooked and presented meals. Good selection of food. Staff friendly and helpful. Just had a meal here but the hotel/pub/restaurant was in lovely surroundings and in a good position to explore this area of Mid Wales.

We spent a couple of enjoyable hours at the Trout Inn having a great dinner with friends. OK - the service wasn't the quickest in the world, but so what: the food was well worth waiting for. Soup, whole plaice and cheesecake were my choices - all really tasty and beautifully cooked and presented. Friendly staff and great value -...

Good family menu with plenty Of seating inside and out. My wife and I called in en route home from Llandovery so we are not local. Well patronised by tourists and locals (saw them walking home). Sunday lunch is good value but puddings are not at £4.75 each (though they are tasty) ! Wine menu very good. Table service excellent....

Took awhile for food to come out but when it did it was very nice the Whole Trout would have been better if it had been deboned first. Pudding...

We have stopped at The Trout in Beulah twice now, on each occasion on the way back from a week's holiday in South Wales. Each time we have enjoyed an excellent lunch made with fresh ingredients. The pub itself has a slightly dated air to the decor and surroundings, but is all the more charming for it. It feels like...
