After parking up outside I was not expecting a great deal. However the place was a surprise from the moment I walked through the door. The downstairs bar was well suited to relaxing and the manager Linda was a delight, welcoming with lots of local knowledge and insight.

My wife and I stayed here and found the hotel to be cold upon our first impression, the wooden floors and single sash windows made it feel quite cold however when we returned from a meal the room had warmed up via the heating, The rooms are quite modern with all the amenities available. the staff are great and very...

Excellent hotel for those needing a place in Cardigan for a short stay. Very friendly staff with clean and comfortable rooms. Good sized rooms with ensuite and decent bar. There is no official hotel car park but we had no trouble parking in the spaces out at the front which is free between 5 pm and 10 am the following...

My son and I stayed for one night on our way through Wales and had a great welcome. We were told that the hotel/pub had just been taken over so there was no food available as they were investing in the facilities. That did not trouble us as the room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. We...

Didn't feel like we stayed in a hotel, more like staying over someone's house...and not a nice house. All rooms need face lift, smelled of damp, the hotel was located in a dodgy looking lane. Didn't feel safe and there were no staff after the bar downstairs closed (which was in our case 10PM!). No staff there in the morning...

Spent a night at the Angel Hotel while touring West Wales. The room was clean and comfortable - nothing fancy, yet everything needed for a short stay. The room and the hotel was very much as depicted and described on the web site: recently refurbished accommodation, easy to get to and well located for what Cardigan has to offer. We...

Wednesday night there was a private party in the club downstairs until the early hours of the morning .It was impossible to sleep, screaming, shouting etc. There was food from the takeaway next door all over the street outside the Hotel in the morning. No Guinness for real...

I have reviewed this hotel before, but see there are some negative reviews of late. Perhaps if those that were unhappy at what was offered might actually look at previous reviews before booking. All the complaints made were covered in these reviews, i.e., staff not available until after 3-00pm, presence of nightclub, narrow staircases to rooms, etc. Considering the price...
