You have got to remember this place is vety old and looks it. It needs a lot of work but saying that it oozes character. I really liked it the staff were great internet reception great breakfast basic but good.

What a fantastic experience, you can imagine coaches and horses clopping into the central courtyard to empty their passengers. This place is OLD!! even the floors are uneven and a little suspect but you will not find cleaner accommodation anywhere and that includes all 3 old bars. Happy cheerful staff and warm welcoming hosts. Oh yeah great food as well.... More

We had three lovely days here. Yes the hotel is very dated but their prices aren't over the top. Beds are spotlessly clean as are the towels. The breakfasts are absolutely delicious and very hot. The dinners were great also very hot and plentiful. The staff are extremely friendly of course Irish people usually are. Nothing was a problem. When... More

Excellent food, great people, good night in the bar, very comfy beds the staff do anything if asked always put us the customer first and the hotel catered for teenagers but the hotel itself is in need of repair work and updating Plenty of information available for sight seeing and tourist attractions Great Town with plenty of food shops and... My friend and I stopped here for lunch. We ordered soup and Savoury Cheese sandwich. The sandwich was utterly appalling ... bland white bread (no choice) filled with some kind of concoction of a horrible tasting mayo-type substance and grated cheese that was so minimal that we couldn't even taste it.

Enjoyed a couple of nights here as a base for exploring the surrounds. This is more a pub with rooms than a hotel. The accommodation is adequate - perhaps a little tired - but the staff and service was just great. Nice bar with live music some nights - could be heard from the room so maybe check in advance... First the good, the location of the hotel is great, the staff are just lovely and the breakfast was very good also very clean. Sadle all of this was let down by our room which was very tired, faced the Main Street therefore noisy. Overall badly in need of a complet makeover. I suspect this room was kept for guest... More

To say that the décor in this hotel was drab and tired would be doing it a service. Also, my room didn't have a kettle, there was only a small bar of soap, the carpet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for months, and there was a spot of blood on the duvet. On the positive side, the bar... More
