In the area for a week had a nice meal it was midweek so only one member of staff on but she was friendly and efficient. We were told that it has just changed ownership. We .enjoyed the meal but wouldn't go overboard about it although there was lots of it. Over all it was OK

Excellent service from friendly staff. Food was full of flavour - steak pie yummy! - and all beautifully cooked. The dining room decor was lovely and fresh. Importantly, the seats were comfy! Highly recommended.

Newton Stewart is not the most attractive town in the world, but we were made to feel very welcome at The Crown and we spent enjoyable...

We came back for Sunday lunch today and we had last been two years ago. The restaurant had been redorated and there was a carvery for lunch. The starters were quite traditional but well cooked and nicely presented. The meat was spot on and the vegetables cooked just how we liked them, with a decent choice. The meal was excellent...

Stayed here in April for four nights. Excellent hotel, food was delicious and the staff were excellent. Very child friendly. Sinead and all the staff couldn't have looked after us better. We ate in the restaurant each night, I would recommend trying the venison, and the peanut brittle and Ferraro Rocher ice cream are delicious.
