We stayed here for one night only as were stopping en route to Skye and chose this hotel due to the attractive price and what seemed like a beautiful location in a beautiful, traditional hotel. We were not disappointed!!! The location was gorgeous - we wanted a fairly isolated place with a view and an opportunity to lounge about a...

We stayed here for two nights and had initially booked via booking.com which we later discovered was double the price than if we booked directly with the hotel. We cancelled the initial booking and secured our reservation via the hotel website for half the price! So be sure to check directly with hotel first. We had a spacious room with...

I stayed here for 5 nights and had no problems. My room was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was a decent size with a large TV. The bathroom had a bath and very good, powerful shower in it. The is a large lounge and a bar/restaurant attached. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a car park on the...

Booking a 1 night break is always hard with trying to find the best location resturants and time to get there . Well we found the perfect hotel 2 and a half hours from the central belt of Scotland. £80 one night bed and breakfast is fantastic for this area and the hotels own resturants and bar are well priced...

I used this fantastic hotel as a base to travel around the highlands. It was in the perfect location for hillwalking, kayaking and visiting historical sites. The hotel was everything we hoped for, I could not pick fault in anything. The room was spacious and clean with excellent views looking over the loch. The hotel staff are another reason to...

February DBB deal booked through 'Classic Britain', excellent value. Stayed two nights. Old style Scottish hotel. Upgraded to room overlooking Loch Leven and Ballachullish Bridge (recommended). Staff friendly and helpful; Dinner/wine reasonably priced and good quality. Will return!

We went here on a last minute offer. It was a very good deal so we weren't expecting too much. The weather was really, really cold when we got there so I appreciated how cosy it was inside. Our booking hadn't gone through on the computer but it was quickly sorted out with no hassle. We had a large, loch...

We spent a couple of nights here between Christmas and New Year. Unfortunately the weather was typically Scottish for December but the hotel provided a warm welcome. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was top notch. Under new management I'm sure there are more improvements on...

I don't normally write many reviews but feel I have to for this trip. We were a bit worried before arriving as the reviews on here are very mixed. On arrival we parked in the private car park and were met by extremely friendly reception staff who explained to us where everything was in the hotel. Next we headed to...

Arrived from a 2 day break from Crieff Hydro so was not expecting anything gracious as we had been to. Room was okay although problems could have easily been rectified ie curtain hooks slipped off rail and cleanliness ie. Toilet could have been bleached and the dust on skirting boards easily wiped, bed clean a must ¡ on first night...
