Great campsite, my son loves going up every year, the only concern I have now is there is alot of dog poo lying about some even left in bags which is a shame cause it's such a beautiful place, the staff that run sands do...More
What a great place... lovely staff, great shop and lovely site. It even has a bath! Lovely views over the Loch and Skye and plenty of places to pitch up, you choose your own. Stayed here for two nights but could have stayed more and...More
A lovely site, right on the beach with lots of opportunities of where to pitch your tent and or caravan. I loved the natural setting and way the site is laid out. The only downside is people with no brains or ignorant pitching far too...More
Good facilities, good location, and good if you have kids. If you don't, i'd recommend you avoid the bottom part of the park near the beach, play park etc as lots of tents and kids and noisy. The top part is quiet and close to...More

Hi. Unsure about campfires, you'd have to ask the campsite. The campsite is based beside the beach in an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are loads of places to walk your dogs, just be careful of tics. You can get treatment beforehand so that they will just fall off, the one I use is Frontline. Tics can cause paralyses in dogs. The onsite cafe does takeaway food, if you are looking to eat there though I would suggest booking in advance as it is small and it fills up fast. There are loads of places to eat in Gairloch itself, including a chippy and chinese, although the chinese is incredibly expensive. There are also lots of places that let you take your dog too! I know the Old Inn does. Have a lovely holiday x
