Sorry I missed this question - campfires are not allowed I'm fairly sure and any BBQ's need to be off the ground too. There isn't a specific dog exercise area but the miles of heather clad hills, footpaths and the wonderful beach will give you lots of walking areas and there are some great walks from the site following ancient tracks. Yes you can get takeaway food, not sure about drinks but probably. The food is just lovely. Hope you have a magical time in my most favourite part of the planet.

What is the road access like for a small touring caravan - OK we accept that in Scotland there are single track roads - no probs provided they are not up a mountain or gravel
Is there a mobile phone signal -we're on Vodaphone
What is the TV reception like - guess probably nil
and finally is there any wifi so that we can keep in touch with our kids
