Another great stay at the Sands campsite. Remains highly recommended.
Great facilities and friendly staff. Stunning views of Skye.
The pizzas and carrot cake at the on site cafe / restaurant / takeaway were worth the trip on their own!
We stayed for three nights in one of the smaller wigwams. The heating in it was very welcome as it was a wet and windy night! Luckily the next two days were very hot and the beach is great when the weather is so good....More

Sorry I missed this question - campfires are not allowed I'm fairly sure and any BBQ's need to be off the ground too. There isn't a specific dog exercise area but the miles of heather clad hills, footpaths and the wonderful beach will give you lots of walking areas and there are some great walks from the site following ancient tracks. Yes you can get takeaway food, not sure about drinks but probably. The food is just lovely. Hope you have a magical time in my most favourite part of the planet.
