Spent a night at this hotel located in the quiet Gairloch area, a real treat to a city dweller! Have eaten there a few times before and once again this lived up to expectation, although I thought the scallops at 4 for £17.50 was a bit pricey even although they were hand dived. Staff very friendly and helpful which really...

Went get for a meal and drinks before returning home the next day. Two families with two younger children and five adults. The service was excellent even though we arrived at quite a busy time (6:00pm, Friday). We didn't wait long until our food was served and what an excellent meal it was. Locally caught seafood is prominent on the...

Group of 14 bikers descended and were looked after fantastically well. Good food, timely service, good value and beer called Sheep Shagger (we are from Aberdeen after all). Because the group was staying at the Highland Lodge up the road (same owners) we received a 10% discount on the meal.

Called in here for lunch, ordered our food, sat down and waited and waited. After seeing people arrive after us and get their food, we asked about ours, we were promised it within 5 minutes. Some twenty minutes later our food arrived. This is a busy place and so they should be used to being busy but it appeared that...

Arrived late afternoon after a long drive up ( landslide shut road = 80 miles detour) and we were ready for a rest and a good meal. We were not disappointed. We stayed at its sister hotel in Gareloch due to the pub being full but it was only 2 mins away. The sister hotel was reasonably priced, clean and...

I have stayed in the Old Inn now and again over several years and have seen the business grow and the Inn get better and beter. The last stay was to meet the owner Alistair to discuss booking the Gairloch Highland Hotel for our car club weekend in April 2013. I booked all 27 rooms in the Gairloch Highland Hotel...

Booked a double room but was given a twin. When advised rather than room changed the beds were pushed together! Then there was a mix up with the room key! Not a good start. Staff are young and don't have experience to resolve if there are issues. Room was shabby - peeling wallpaper, mismatched furniture, fitted sheets didn't fit properly,...

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two dogs. The staff are very friendly, and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they lit the fire to help dry off the dogs, provided water for the dogs on request and were not phased in any way by two damp Spaniels or their two damp owners (weather was very...
