Great little campsite at the foot of White Horse Hill, basic amenities, cold water, clean portaloos and a teashop over the road. Great for a couple of nights stay, and you can have fires and BBQ's all set in beautiful countryside.

We dropped in to the tea room for lunch, service was very friendly, food was freshly made, cakes were delicious and place was clean. Location easy to get to and great walks in local area. Definitely will go back.

When we arrived they didn't say they locked the gates just after tea time. We got back at 8.30pm. and they wanted us to drive a 23 foot long 9 foot high motorhome round a track the width of the van plus 6 inches either side and under trees with large branches at a 7 foot level. We refused as...

We booked for a weekend with a 2 year old, it's a working farm, so little boy very happy seeing the tractors. Great campsite, very friendly staff. Showers near the farm house and tea rooms, not far to walk from our campsite. Our field had a water tap and about 8 very clean portaloos. Site was very mixed with lots...

We booked and arrived late on Friday. The check-in procedure was very simple and the price was very reasonable. We were offered the choice of five different fields which was really good. We found a field that was high up and had fantastic views which were breathtaking. The farmer drove round in the evening and sold logs and kindling out...

We booked over the bank holiday weekend to stay here. We knew it would be busy. The site is set on a working farm in some of the most lovely countryside in England - and yet only 10 minutes drive from the town of Wantage and about 20 minutes from Swindon so you really don't have to worry if you...

The campsite consists of a farm with a small field out front by the road. This is the only area with electric hook up. We initially asked for hook up but didn't fancy being by the road. There are 5 other fields without hook up so we went to the top field. There is a water tap and some portal...

So we chose Britchcombe Farm camping because, based on the website, it suited our needs. We were meeting friends for a long bank holiday weekend together - an annual event. However, when we arrived and went through the checking in procedure, we were told our pitch was in the 'paddock'. This also serves as the car park for the shop,...

The campsite comprises of large campsite fields separated from a single small campsite that has around 8 electric hook-ups. If you book the campsite with electric hook-ups be warned that this site is the only one with showers and washing up facilities which attracts all the other campers to drive to to use the facilities. The site also has a...

It's hard to rate Britchcombe Farm as it entirely depends on what you're looking for. This isn't a massive commercial venture with all the bells and whistles but this is a lovely rural campsite. The farm sits right at the bottom of the slopes of The Ridgeway with one of the camping fields right below the White Horse and Uffington...
