Dingley Lodge Hotel was a lovely place to stay for a few days. It was quiet and relaxing and the hotel itself has a very welcoming atmosphere. It was clear a great deal of time and effort had been invested in creating a space that was warm and inviting. Christine and Bruce were hugely friendly, always set a roaring fire...

Lovely place to rest one's head after a day outside. The bar (!) is generously stocked, the hosts very warm and the breakfast catered to many different requirements. Spacious and warm room with electric blanket, quiet, good hot shower and a sense of care invested throughout the detailing of the house.

Thankyou Jennifer-Lynn. We enjoyed having your group stay with us and it was interesting to learn about the work you are doing. It's a different approach to story-telling which I'm sure will go down well. As for our bar, well, the main part of it was rescued from a pub, 'The Cherry Tree', which was demolished in Market Harborough town...

Our stay at Dingley Lodge was fantastic from start to finish. Bruce and Christine are friendly and incredible at what they do. They had the fire going (which was very welcome after a day working outdoors) and the incredibly sweet bar was ready for us to have an enjoyable evening. The room was comfortable and quiet and the house is...

Thankyou Louise, your positive comments are very much appreciated. It's always good to have appreciative guests and your group was so friendly and easy-going. Our guests often comment on the fire (we even have a d-i-y toasting fork for one of our regulars!) and it makes the lounge cosy and homely when the weather outside is cold and wet. I...

We stayed one night to work close by, Christine and Bruce took great care of us, with a large fire and a great breakfast (catering to various dietry requirements with style!). Location is peaceful with good views. Would recommend to anyone!

Thanks, bm, for your kind words. We never cease to be amazed at how our guests respond to a bit of personal service. We were a bit concerned about getting breakfast right for everyone ~ lots of different dietary requirements did present us with a challenge ~ but Christine & Hannah rose to the occasion and, though it took a...

We spent the night at Dingley Lodge as we were going to an event in the village. The hotel is very cute, comfortable and cosy. It's a very characteristic house with plenty of charm. Bruce and Christine are excellent hosts and made sure we felt right at home with tea and biscuits by the fire and some lovely conversation. Rooms...

Thankyou, siyoung for taking the time to write a review and also for writing such a positive one. On 1st December it will be 30 years since we opened the door to our first customer and in that time we've been so lucky with our guests. Some have returned many times and many have returned some times. Hopefully that means...

We had a family gathering and decided to go back to Dingley Lodge Hotel which had looked after us so magnificently last time. It can be a mistake to go back to a place you enjoyed but in this case we were delighted that the standard off service and the warm welcome afford to us by Chris and Bruce was...

Thankyou Tony, for another wonderful review. It's always encouraging when we find out that people have stayed with us before or that they have happy memories of time spent here at Dingley Lodge. Family occasions are just perfect for that and we're lucky to have a place that's the right size and location for everyone to come and stay. We...

We have stayed at Dingley Lodge annually for the last 5 or 6 years and have never had a bad stay. Bruce and Christine are the most welcoming and helpful of hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. They also serve the "best breakfasts" - high praise indeed from my picky children. Evening meals are lovely too. We always...

Thankyou Liz, it's been a pleasure to have you all come and stay with us every year. We've seen your family growing up and have looked forward to your visits. I guess all good things must come to an end, though, and we're as disappointed as you that English Heritage has decided not to hold its annual flagship event in...

We stopped for one night at the Dingley Lodge Hotel. Christine and Bruce were fabulous hosts, and went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Thankyou Joe. We're lucky to live where we do. Living at Dingley Lodge has presented its challenges over the years but it's the sort of place that inspires you (one) to do the best you can. We do, I realise, take the views for granted and it's comments such as yours that help us appreciate just what we have on...

Thankyou SusieQ for such praise. I guess when people are prepared to travel the extra mile to come and stay with us, it's only fair that we go the extra mile to look after them.
