A random drop in for a lunch with two clients. Staff where extremely friendly, service was perfect. I had the hake which was cooked to perfection! My guests had the pumpkin soup and the pea salad. Reasonably priced and a beautiful setting!

We enjoyed our stay at the Wheatsheaf Inn. It wasn't perfect but in the end we decided that the good points outweighed the negative ones. On the positive side the staff were excellent..so helpful and friendly. The meal was lovely especially the twice baked goats cheese soufflé. The room was lovely although slightly unusual. Not much room for clothes which...

Beautiful country pub/hotel with very friendly staff and great decor. Great menu and tasty food. Whilst the bedroom was nicely designed, the heating wasn't working so the bedroom and bathroom were freezing, great shame as it made the stay pretty uncomfortable.

The staff is so nice and very accommodating. The meal is beyond expectation. They also not try to upsell you on more expensive dishes. And the bedding is so comfortable and better than many 5 star hotels! Will definitely use them again!

We have a wonderful meal here last night I had the oysters to start and my better half had the kidneys which he has not stopped talking about. My liver was to die for so tender and tasty would return for that alone. I wish I could cook liver like that (any tips chef?). Service was good in so all...

We went here for lunch with our 15 month-old grandson and his parents. From the moment that we arrived the staff were outstanding. We were made welcome, found a quiet alcove to eat in, a high chair and just given every assistance. My daughter-in-law is celiac and the kitchen staff were most accommodating. The food was very good, the ambience...

Visited on the spur of the moment at short notice. They did their best to fit us in. Food was excellent and not your usual pub grub. Good variety catering for all tastes. Wherever possible it seemed to be sourced locally. Decent local beer as well. Service was very good.

As i said, the BEST continental breakfast ever. My fiance thought he may have been doing it tough when i told him that he wouldn't be getting a full-english breakfast - but it was him that said it was the best breakfats ever. Delicious muesli, yoghurt, stewed fruit and pastries. Meat, cheeses and a vaiety of home-made breads. Beautifully decorated...

Called for Sunday lunch. Had the Pork roast. My meat was to die for and the sauce/ gravy delicious. But the vegetables took 20 minutes to arrive and were crispy. The young man that served us, Charlie I think was devine, very attentive and friendly. Extremely busy and the staff seemed to handle the pressure well. I would go back...

We had friends visiting from New Zealand. As we are local & can walk to the Wheatsheaf, we went for dinner mid week. It was quite busy, which made for a nice atmosphere. We ordered our choices for food, which was fine. Then my NZ friend chose the wine. Unfortunately the Chardonnay she chose, we were told, was not chilled!!...
