Booked a family pre xmas meal...what a disappointment, I could have cooked the meal better myself. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there, not attentive at all. Never came to see if we wanted drinks we had to ask them all the time when they actually appeared in the restaurant !!! Food was bland and tasteless we ordered...

We arrived late Friday night and our room was great both warm and comfortable! In the morning we discovered that we had a sea view as well. The food was excellent! We ended up having breakfast, lunch and dinner over our stay! The staff were very friendly! We slept well and will definitely stay here again on a visit to...

We booked a one night stay in the Patrick Suite and was advised on the booking that breakfast was as extra £5.50. Upon arrival we were met by an abrupt and brusque lady who advised the breakfast was priced at £8.50. I said that I had it in writing that it was A mistake. She also advised that the restaurant...

I visited the bar (to the right as you walk in the door) with a few friends. We were there a few drinks and a couple of us ordered food. The service was fine but the prices here are utterly ridiculous! I paid £3.60 for one pint of Diet Coke! Then I ordered a chicken and mayo baguette, which cost...

Third time we have been for Sunday roast and have tried beef, lamb and today chicken none of it particularly nice. Veg was only bit that made it edible. Beef was tough that was in June but we came back in August and had lamb. Served very rare and very fatty waitress said that was how the lamb was! That...

We recently stayed at the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed in the Lipton room which was a good sized room with a giant bed and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others, much more comfortable than other hotels in the area.

We had a standard room at the rear of the hotel, smallish but good enough bed for a short stay. The view to the bay has been replaced by new housing but still rear of hotel has pleasant far view. There are larger bedrooms and suites so maybe better to choose one of those if in for more than 1...

good points: convenient location on main road to Harwich Town with local shops well tended grounds attractive building bad points: Upon arrival the only ceiling light didn't work. Although sounding doubtful at first reception had a spare. My wife ran a shower. Being in a hurry she got in while it was still cool. It then heated to scaldingly hot...

Came here for lunch with friends and our children and was very disappointed. No kids menu. Overly priced food. Asked about kids menu and was told to half the cost and portions of main menu. All our meals were served at different times, and me and my children ended up waiting 35 minutes!!! Byt his time my children did not...
