Amazing coffee, friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. The pate is amazing with a bowl of fruit and veg and a savory scone.... along with heaps of granary toast. Great value for money. There are lovely views from here and it is very convenient if you are doing the abundance of walks in the area.

We stopped here after a long drive to Lyme Regis, and enjoyed a speciality tea and the most delicious home baked tea cake. The place is so spotlessly clean and has a lovely homely feel to it. I'd love to come back, and I think they do B&B too.

Lunch and teas served here, good parking, easy to find, also just off public footpath, so walkers and dogs are welcome here. Lovely cosy restaurant, with pretty garden and valley views. Roddy is well known for his beautiful baking, especially his scones, sponges and tasty soups. Log burning stove, books to read and write!! Different types of teas a speciality....

Nice bright place, BUT ... Everything individually priced so a 'cream tea' is more than 50% more expensive than nearly anywhere I've been. Yes, the scone was warm and there was a generous helping of cream and jam, but no more than the rest - tried it, won't return

From the road this establishment does not look much at all but step inside and be greeted by welcoming friendly staff, fresh and clean decor and a beautiful garden to the rear. We were only popping in for a coffee but on viewing the menu opted for a cheese scone, ham & cheese roll and poached eggs on toast. We...

Lovely, fresh ham salad for me, delightful home made bread for the mature cheese and ham roll for him! We both enjoyed our lunch at the Old Black Dog yesterday. We have already recommended it to family members and friends will hear about it soon. It is clean and bright and a welcoming place to visit - no fuss just...

After a trek from Lyme we decided to go in here for a cuppa. Our dog was welcomed inside (we had been prepared to sit in the garden with him). Looking at the menu we decided to have a cream tea. I can honestly say the scone was the best one I have ever tasted and very generous in size!...

We stopped at the Black Dog in Uplyme for a cuppa and cake. We have been before so we knew we were in for a treat. The sun was shining so we sat in the lovely gardens. If you like a good cup of tea and really excellent food with friendly service in beautiful surroundings, this is the place for...

This has to be one of the best places in the region for a cream tea and lunch. Scones are to die for and owners always give a friendly welcome. One of the best tea rooms I have ever been too, we will certainly go back again before we go home.

Restful stay with Peter and Pat...warm welcome with tea and biscuits. Pleasant room ..but facing the main road..so a bit noisy ...soon got used to it though.Breakfasts are freshly cooked and with up to 8 items on your plate...loved that !! Cereals yoghurts etc all there and endless supplies of tea/coffee/toast. Tea/coffee/biscuits in the rooms with plentiful supplies...not two of...
