My 13 year old daughter and I stayed one night at Hix Townhouse and it was fantastic. We did not have a themed room but the room we had exceeded our expectations. We had all we needed and more. Exceptional customer service and comfort. The cheapest car parking I can ever remember in nearby car park. A beautiful quirky house... More

Firstly, the staff were so friendly and helpful, we'd managed to screw up our booking dates but they sorted us out really quickly and were very understandable. Each room has an individual style, ours was hats...loads of them hung from the ceiling, bit surreal but unique. I spoke to another couple who had stayed in a fishing-themed room with rods... More

Classy towhouse, very close to shops and the seafront. We stayed for two nights in the Reading Room, tastefully furnished. Very comfortable bedding. Delicious breakfast hampers. Friendly welcome. Great location. The car park is a short walk away, as is the delicious and beautifully located Hix Oyster & Fish house. As it is a beautiful old townhouse, the rooms are... More

Friendly staff and lovely guesthouse. Pleasantly decorated with a communal kitchen and roof garden. Comfy beds and a lovely full size bath. We had a lounge area also. Breakfast served in hampers to your room. Would definitely recommend and return.

We had an overnight stay in a top-floor room. It was spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. Only downside was the paper-thin walls which meant we could hear the couple's conversation in the neighbouring room - and the screeching of their delightful child first thing in the morning! Nearest parking is the public car park at the top of a steep... More

My wife and I stayed here as part of our wedding anniversary celebration and absolutely loved it. Booking was smooth and once we arrived everything was first class especially the room - we stayed in The Hunting Room - and the fact that you are just five minutes' walk away from the Hix Restaurant which was also brilliant. We have... More

Stayed for two nights celebrating a wedding anniversary. Public car park is cheap and only a very short walk away. Excellent location, really comfortable and attractive room with good facilities. The breakfast hamper is not only great fun (especially if you are feeling lazy and want to eat in bed) but also really tasty. Quirky, great fun and well worth... More

I needed to visit the Lyme Regis boat building academy and decided to make it an overnight trip - so pleased I did - the hotel was great (central but pretty quiet) - I ate in the nearby Hix restaurant which was also excellent. There's no car park at the hotel but the public car park just up the hill... More

We spent a couple of comfortable nights here on a short break to beautiful Lyme Regis. As is made clear on the website, there is no parking at the b&b. However, we managed to park just outside the adjacent cinema and unload our bags before putting the car to bed up the hill in a nearby public car park. After... More

We stayed for one night and we just loved everything about this quirky little guest house! Parking is away from the hotel in a town carpark but it's only a short walk and it is possible to drop off heavy bags at the door and then move the car. Each room is individually themed and we were in the Hat... More
